I love the logic behind the Colt ACR, the US government asked for a rifle that was twice as good as the M16a2, so Colt made an M16a2 that shoots twice the bullets per shot (that's 100% more bullet, per bullet).

IIRC it was Japan's initial attempt to copy the Pedersen Rifle, which later evolved into simply copying the M1 Garand for producing the Type 5.
I think the designation was the Type 1944/45.

Rear locking tabs on their AK mags aren't steel, so they break off; they are what you'd call range mags.

That kind of defeats the purpose of having such a large rifle, considering .22 lr has virtually no recoil.

I think "the purpose" in this case is that they look like an M82 and an M200.
Also they're built from a Ruger 10/22, a Marlin XT-22, and two airsoft frames, so I doubt they could handle a large round anyhow. Probably aren't nearly as heavy as the real things either.

It's actually the opposite for the katana in practicality, it is pretty much worthless vs anything other than cloth and flesh, with it's only redeeming quality being that you can slice and draw it out in the same motion, so you can get someone offguard. That Claymore there is not only extremely awesome, but the more practical of the two.

There some British guy on youtube who specializes in all the old weapons, he personally thinks the kantana was an ok weapon. The most practical weapon to him would have been a shield or a pole arm.

I haven't seen the movie either, but AFAIK that's some sort of micro air-burst system thingamajig. Plus, it doesn't really matter how high up the sight is as long as it's zeroed correctly.
But you can't zero a sight on all ranges. That's why it's not very practical.

You can't zero any sight on all ranges. That's why most iron sights are adjustable, as with optical sights, like reflex sights.

I just saw it yesterday. What is does is it finds the range to the target and arms timer on the explosive-tipped ammo to detonate just before it reaches the enemy, pelting them with hot shrapnel.
