There some British guy on youtube who specializes in all the old weapons, he personally thinks the kantana was an ok weapon. The most practical weapon to him would have been a shield or a pole arm.
haven't seen the movie yet, but this sight and laser getup is pretty fucking cool
according to the designer it's an airbust round computer thingy, despite airburst rounds being useless at such a small caliber

That'd be cool if it was like a delayed burst sabot round. Like, a bigass round that basically goes off like a shotgun when it gets within 5 feet of the target.

Sort of like the LB-X Autocannons in Battletech?
[editline]20:53[/editline]
They're pretty incorrectly portrayed in most Mechwarriors, as they're not shotgun like autocannons, but they fire cluster rounds that fragment mid-air close to the target and shred it with shrapnel.
You over payed hardcore.
It was extremely new though, had the original documentation and even the case that beretta packs them in when they ship em to dealers. Handed it to my brother one day and he was amazed how new it was, it hasn't even been broken in yet, and i've put over 500 rounds through it already. There's a chance that i may sell it off and get something cheaper, then pocket the leftover cash. I was thinking maybe a Sig pistol in .40 or .45.
[editline] today [/editline] Turns out i got that number wrong, i dug through a stack of papers in my safe and found the sales receipt, i paid $620, plus $47 in tax, so about $667.
[editline] today [/editline] Did a little more research on my model of M9, turns out it's a rare US Army Limited Edition, so at least it's something.

LB-X ACs are the shit, lighter than regular ACs and fuck things up more reliably.

Works like a flak gun against aircraft too.
But you can't zero a sight on all ranges. That's why it's not very practical.
almost every reflex sight on the market will allow you to easily adjust the zeroing without having to use anything more than a flathead or a coin. Plus that doesn't really matter considering you're not going to do all to well with reflex sights past a 100 meters or 2.
because i bought a Beretta M9 for $720 from a pawn shop a few years ago.
You fucked up real bad if you paid that much for a M9, especially if it was used or surp.

I didn't pay $720, i got the numbers wrong and actually paid ~$660, for a brand new one, that also happened to be a limited edition, so i didn't get that badly fucked over.
if it's an m9a1 that isn't an awful price
My grandfather gave me this revolver! It's a Lefaucheux pin fire revolver.
Not my gun in the picture but it's exactly the same model.
if it's an m9a1 that isn't an awful price
I don't think it's an M9A1, serial number just has M9 at the beginning, as well as lacking the features of the A1, most notably the rails that come with the A1. Also the manual that came with it just says 92FS.
if it's a 92FS it should cost about $650 new so I guess you're on the money
not really seeing the beautiful part
I'm gonna stick my neck out here: I kinda like the way pistol grips look on M1 rifles.

Alright maybe that's just a bit excessive.
Ehh, I think a pistol grip on a Garand could look good, but on that one, it just looks a tad...off
I don't like the stock on that at all.

Excuse me while I fap to that Model 12 trench/riot gun and bayonet...
stop with that model 12 before I shell you with mustard gas
Ehh, I think a pistol grip on a Garand could look good, but on that one, it just looks a tad...off
Yeah, it kinda did. These technically aren't M1 Garand's, but I think the better looking, if not most practical, pistol gripped M1-pattern rifles are the M14e2 and the M14 DMR:
