complaining about someone calling a glock a 1911 isn't semantics
this is semantics:
Yet still, the point of one of us 'arguing' would be to inform you of a misused or ill-placed term or object in your posting. I'm sure Trunk and Prussel don't mean to sound like elitists or pretentious when they correct people, but just to inform someone of a mistake in terminology that would otherwise go uncorrected.
I'd say a major aspect in this thread would be to increase your knowledge on various firearms, as well as their terminology and functions. Far from semantics.
Yeah except semantics are important to make any sense whatsoever.
[editline]4th September 2013[/editline]
Just make sure the shit you say is proper it's not that hard.
if we didn't argue and complain about semantics most of you suckshitters would be calling glocks 1911's, and 1911's "that gun that blew up the tank in saving private ryan"
well yeah but there's semantics and there's pointless pedantry and no offense but your posts tend to often be closer to the latter (I still think you're an OK guy and all but that's not the first time you were kind of assholish to someone in this thread)
goes for the rest of y'all 'MAGAZINE NOT CLIP' type dudes too, just be informative instead of abrasive when correcting other people's mistakes and we will all live in harmony ok
would post some neat guns to get the thread back on track but posting from a phone makes embedding stuff a major PITA

well if you want to be super technical and logical about it, thats not really semantics either cause thats still really important shit when it comes to guns.

Two M1 Carbines
and a Springfield Armory M1C with Unertl scope and cheek pad.

Sell him your virginity for the FNC and the USAS.

facepunch srs bizniss
Seriously bud, lighten up, eh? Everyone here is just trying to have some fun and casual discussion. No one is looking for you to nitpick every tiny aspect of firearms information. If someone calls an AK an M16, yeah get on that. But don't insult our intelligence by assuming we don't know that a semi-automatic firearm can in fact be classified as an "automatic". Obviously it is, we don't think it's a fucking bolt-action.
I've got nothing against you, you know your shit. But you and everyone else who feel the need to prey on people who don't use the 100% correct terminology need to tone it down just a tad, if anything just so we don't get pages filled with people arguing over people arguing semantics, sort of like this one is turning out to be.
Now content so I don't look like a hypocrite:
I've always had a thing for offset scope mounts

Ok, so we've got a blow job, and my "virginity"; anyone else want to offer their dignity so we can start the Facepunch Arsenal of Awesomeness?

Theres always a guy here at the Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach gun shows that has a few original M1C's, I think they were from the Korean war. Cool guns but 30-06 just isn't economical enough to justify the huge amounts of money people want for one.

and I didn't have to give a blow job to get it either.

I'd blow ten men for a proper FNC
I'd blow ten men for a proper FNC
Realistically you're looking at 2-3K for the FNC, and 3-5K for the auto sear.
The hard part is finding a sear, waiting the 9+ months for the NFA paperwork, oh and of course, ponying up the cash to buy it all in the first place!

trust me, I've done the research. I've decided that blowing ten men would be quicker and easier than dropping 9k on the gun and waiting a lifetime for NFA paperwork
I know a guy in Idaho who has an FNC. No idea if it's semi-only or full-auto, but it's definitely an FNC.
Probably full auto cause theres more full auto ones in the US than there are semis. Thats at least what I've heard.

2x more sears than guns.
Edit: I actually found a company that would throw in a 3rd burst kit if you bought the FA sear from them, they do the installation of both.

I'll just wait till the NFA is repealed before I pay 5 grand for a small piece of metal.

Syrian FSA soldier finds the meaning of life in a mortar shell made in a garage.
Seems I keep coming in here to make obscure requests, does anyone happen to have an image of the back of the stocks on old Model 607 CAR-15s?
Syrian FSA soldier finds the meaning of life in a mortar shell made in a garage.
Jokes aside, think about it. You're holding an explosive in a warzone full of families and such. That shell is going to take a life, if you're lucky the enemies. If not, some innocent family, maybe even yours. There's a lot to ponder in that situation.
It's actually more likely that it won't kill anyone considering the FSA lacks any sort of realistic intelligence network. More than likely it will hit a rubble pile or a room thats been empty for 2 years.

I'd kill several for an M1 Carbine.
I'd kill several for an M1 Carbine.
Why? They're insanely common and they're still being produced today. They're not rare or hard to find by any means, even WWII original ones aren't tough to locate.
