That thing has a really strange magazine/magazine well/ejection port setup.
I'm actually really liking that Light Rifle. It looks so smooth and pointable.

It's actually still in 9mm, the magazine just looks big because it ejects the shells down that grip thing that's around the mag.
Here's a look at it from the bottom (with the barrel removed):

The piece sticking off at an angle is the magazine, the grip was a combination magazine well and ejection tube. So in a way it's sort of like a cross between an MP40/MP41 and a P90.

Yup, MP7a1, there's also a UMP-9 above it, it was some of the stuff HK was showing off at DSEi, they had a lot of 416/417s, several MG4s, and a few MPs.
