Here's another .32 Auto:

Japanese Hino-Komuro, developed in 1908, it was a blow-forward operated handgun.
It was offered in 5mm Clement, .25 ACP, and 8mm Nambu as well, but the most common model was .32.
I believe I went over this before, but when you pull the trigger the barrel and chamber spring backwards into a fixed firing pin, the force of the round being fired then pulls the barrel forward, allowing it to eject the shell and strip off a new round from the magazine before again locking into the forward position, this also means that you charge the weapon by pulling forward on the barrel, which as you can see has serrations to help gripping.

And yes Trunk, that is a grip safety.
I love it.
Of all the guns you could choose to criticize, the Uzi is probably one of the most unassailable. It was good enough for everyone from the IDF to the Secret Service. A grip safety is perfect for what it was used for- quickly drawing from a concealed position. It also has the added benefit of immediately cutting fire if the shooter loses control of the weapon.
It also popularized the telescoping bolt assembly, which is kind of a big deal for modern subguns. Israel is a country constantly under threat, if there's one thing they know how to build it's weapons. There may be better weapons out there nowadays but the Uzi family definitely has its place in history.
there are lighter weapons maybe, but the uzi is easy to control, reasonably accurate, easy to fix, easy to clean, hard to break, very reliable, and very cheap. The uzi not only has it's place in history, but in my opinion it still has it's place in combat.

also, I hate grip safeties more than trunk does

Would be better if it was a glock or some cheap pistol. But that ruins the 1911.
Would be better if it was a glock or some cheap pistol. But that ruins the 1911.
There are as many cheap reproduction 1911s as there are Glocks.
Would be better if it was a glock or some cheap pistol. But that ruins the 1911.
Your cheapest 1911 is going to cost half as much as any glock and shoot half as well too. Theres over 6 billion different 1911 manufacturers, but theres really only 1 glack maker.
Odd question, but does anybody happen to remember a thread on a popular firearms forum where somebody had mentioned that they purchased an L85 rifle and there was some debate as whether it was bought through illegimate means?

Is that more propellant to keep it going after it leaves the barrel, or does it shoot big ass spikes?

It's a harpoon for an underwater rifle.

you can't have both, underwater or above water choose one.
It shoots big ass spikes, that's pretty hardcore.
A gunstore, unless you start creeping the cashier out.

I hope it shoots bigass spikes. That'd be so badass.
