ACP packs a wild punch, the GAP seems to have as much powder as the 40 S n' W... so would the GAP basically be an ACP with a lower muzzle velocity, larger bullet and less recoil? (more similar to the .40 but slower with a bigger bullet) are there any non glocks that fit the category i seem to be looking in? [editline]18th April 2013[/editline] you can get .357 hollowpoints as a civilian owner?
Lots of non-glocks, and also glock, at least to me, is over rated. But I'd say go with something like Sig Sauer or Smith and Wesson, if you have the money, springfield isn't bad either, but really, why not buy a revolver? I assume if you're looking for something with stopping power, you want it for personal defense, and revolvers are literally the best option for that for most everyone. You can find one in most all calibers you can find a semi auto in. But revolvers never jam, they're simple to operate and load and clean. And contrary to facepunches popular belief, you don't need more than 6 rounds for self defense, all it takes is a bullet to kill someone, this isn't call of duty, even if one bullet doesn't stop them immediately, they'll stop soon enough, specially if you plug another round into said person. This IS my opinion, but it's built with real world facts and experience and just what I've been told by every gun dealer or defense trainer. Granted yea there are shitty scenarios where you may need more shots or ammo or something, but really what the fuck are you doing getting into those situations anyway?
Go with a safe and sound 6 round law abiding cylinder instead of an 11 bullet baby killing, high capacity bushmaster cop seeking clip. [editline]18th April 2013[/editline] I'm gonna go find some pictures of revolvers I think.
also i'm kinda ignorant in this area... i have no idea what that wound canal chart means at all. i never really knew a .357 would have more stopping power than a .45

yeah those are all hollowpoint bullets, no wonder why. a .357 bullet FMJ would have less stopping power than a .45 FMJ
.45 ACP FMJ wound canal .45 ACP actually has shit stopping power with FMJ's in comparison to .357 magnums and .357 sig.
the reason why i'd want a semi automatic is because i like the action better. they're just cooler than revolvers to me. having a semi automatic is not for having extra shots, it's just what i want lol. i guess when it comes time i'd go with a revolver anyways. i'd get a semi if i felt comfortable with the revolver and wanted a new gun i mean i know it takes one bullet to stop someone, why do you think i'm concerned with stopping power? i'd rather put less lead in them to have to make them stop. also them not being dead is a huge plus... to be honest i'd rather the motherfucker rot in prison than die right there. the entire point would hardly be self defense anyways. i'm a gun nut who has yet to buy a gun. would more be for going to the range with.
fuck you i like my fiberglass. you and riller can die
Like I said, I do like the Vz. 58, and if nothing else the Czech fiberglass is cheaper and sturdier than wood, but I'd still prefer Bakelite over it, to some degree because Bakelite doesn't pretend to be wood like that stuff does.
Sexiest action ever.
it doesn't make sense to me though, a bigger bullet going slower penetrates more than a smaller bullet going faster? [editline]18th April 2013[/editline]
Sexiest action ever.
if i ever came across the chance to buy a luger i'd so go for it. [editline]18th April 2013[/editline] oh, what's the recoil like with the 32? also does it have a nice weight? i've always heard things about glocks like they feel too light or something
Mauser C96 is hands down the most beautiful pistol I know of
ehh i always thought it looked kinda icky in how barbarically simplistic the design is.. it's basically a revolver with a clip instead of a cylinder... well thats what it looks like at least.
ehh i always thought it looked kinda icky in how barbarically simplistic the design is.. it's basically a revolver with a mag instead of a cylinder... well thats what it looks like at least.
If you value your life you will change that before anyone else notices. (people are touchy about that)
i myself am touchy as shit about it as well. especially with the mother fucking retarded liberals calling extended magazines 'assault clips' seriously the liberals want to do away with magazines altogether and just have guns with clips, yet they can't even get their own fucking terminology right i was thinking of a mauser-y gun that actually has a magazine.
Sexiest action ever.
Never knew that guns shoots like that. I know virtually nothing about guns, but I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that's a booger
it doesn't make sense to me though, a bigger bullet going slower penetrates more than a smaller bullet going faster?
Penetration isn't what matters when it comes to stopping power, unless of course your bad guy is wearing body armor. Too much penetration, and you get the problem with the MP7; you can unload 30 rounds into a meth tweaker but he won't feel a damn thing and theres no large wound canals so he won't be sent into shock. What matters is the wound canals, like in the picture I showed you. Hollow points have large wound canals because the bullet expands inside the body and starts tumbling wildly, hitting multiple organs and causing massive trauma. .357 sig is one of the best out there for wound canals with hollow points (which if you're in a home defense scenario, thats what you'll be using. If you use FMJ's you might kill grandma in the next room or Mrs. Jones across the street). Many police officers report dropping someone with only 1 .357 sig round, just because of the sheer trauma it causes. Another set of wound canals for the .357 sig and other rounds Of course, 10mm auto will still be the best man stopping round, it's just you have to reload your own bullets to get proper ballistics from 10mm auto And this is with a relatively weak load.
Sig Sauer also has a P229 chambered in .357 sig
There is just something about the P229. I used to have a cheap, yet realistic, airsoft P226, and, eurgh, it's just such a beautiful gun.
i don't think i'd ever have to use any of the guns i buy. i'm upper middle class and hardly a target for robbery when i live on my own. also even if i carried it, and i probably never would because i'd start out carrying it but it would just be to much of a hassle so i'd leave it at home, i don't think i'd use it because most self defense scenarios outside the house are muggings, and most of the time it's better to just hand over your shit.
[T]http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/3668/hk417.jpg[/T] i don't like most of the paintjobs out there but this one is pretty good

Take a mag from PM, take a drum from PPSh and... Because fuck reloading.
Well at least the drum would mitigate recoil. Actually nvm I was thinking of it being mounted in front.

Remind me why .380 Glocks aren't legal to import to the US?
Any special reason it's loaded with blanks (possibly LTT rounds)?
looks like the pics are from some military excercise/training course [editline]18th April 2013[/editline] im sure this has been posted but [t]http://s3.amazonaws.com/rapgenius/1345692995_ak-mag100.jpg[/t] [editline]18th April 2013[/editline] i can't imagine what a pain in the ass it would be to have to clean the clip if it jammed
Remind me why .380 Glocks aren't civilian legal in the US?
yes they are..... maybe not in your state?
yes they are..... maybe not in your state?
It's banned from import because it doesn't fit certain requirements, probably 922r or something. [editline]19th April 2013[/editline] It's like Norinco and Russian imports, you can own a Russian AKM or a Chinese RPK, but you can't import them.
i can't imagine what a pain in the ass it would be to have to clean the clip if it jammed
thats a magazine
anddd here we go
i need an extended clip for my bushmaster glock and wesson ak47 in .22
