Most noted for a hilariously bad attempt to get more stopping power out of a Raven Arms MP-25 and epicly failed at it.

Hi I'm Somebody, have some more pictures of various squadrons.. excuse the markings done with MS Paint on some of these pictures.
Most of these come from private collections and the pictures shown are auction "demos".
Some pics come with extra information.. some are unidentified.
And as always, click for fullsize!

Bf 109 K-4 W.Nr. probably in the 332 000 335 241 block range given the low visibility camouflage demarcation line, typical of later Mtt-Flössenburg or other Mtt operated Waldwerke in 1945. Given the black tulip decorating it's nose, the unit is almost certainly II./JG 52

I tried making a gun. I figured maybe some sort of C&C Red Alert kind of experimental 1940's Assault Rifle. I'll be making it in full 3D and hopefully have it done by the end of the week.
I like the lack of a buttplate most of all, lets you get splinters in your shoulder more easily and get nice big chunks taken out of the rifle when you drop it or smash a soviets head in.

Is that pistol grip taken from a Thompson prototype?
Also, here have a Tommy that the Chinese converted to 7.62 Tokarev:

Looks like they jammed a PPS-43 magwell into it.
Yes it is.
Also I really like the curved magazine with that Tommy Gun. It almost feels like an MP5.
Here's an interesting target pistol design: The Dieckmann P66, from 1966.
[t]http://www.nramuseum.org/umbraco/ImageGen.ashx?image=/media/24618/00558_l.jpg[/t]
Looks like a Ruger .22 Mark I/II/III, but there's something unique about it that sets it apart from all other .22 target pistols...
[t]http://www.horstheld.com/Dieckmann%204.JPG[/t]
[t]http://www.horstheld.com/Dieckmann%204-b.JPG[/t]
Yep, the magazine is curved and goes somewhere where it can't possibly fall out! :v:
[t]http://www.horstheld.com/Dieckmann.JPG[/t]
Obviously this wouldn't work with a duty pistol as it would get kinda clumsy to release the mag while maintaining a firm hold on the grip.
From the patent statement:
When rimmed cartridges are stacked one on top of the other, a curve is formed. Therefore a curved magazine is the best choice for rimmed cartridges. Placing the magazine into the front strap of the receiver, automatically places the floor plate of the magazine under the fingers of the shooting hand, preventing the magazine from accidentally falling out of the pistol. Also, the receiver only has to extend downward as far as the magazine.
He does have a point there.
Dieckmann also merged the firing pin and extractor in a separate patent. This is an interesting pistol that really never went beyond the prototype stages.
I always thought Colt Woodsman's with the heavier barrel/barrel weight looked cool

Soviet Po-2

The most produced bi-plane of all time. Most famous for being the war bird of the NightWitches despite being incredibly outdated.
The NightWitches were a Soviet bomber squadron during WWII consisting of all female pilots and crew. Despite being equipped with biplanes meant for training and crop dusting, they utilized their low profile, low maximum speed, and low armament to do night bombing and recon. The aircraft had a bad habit of it's engine just cutting out, so they would use this to their advantage to glide in (without the engine roaring at night they'd be harder to notice) and drop their bombs, restart the engine, then GTFO.
The Po-2's maximum speed is slower than a BF109 and FW190's stall speed, so they were tough to shoot down. Because the aircraft was meant for crop dusting, there weren't any hardpoints for bombs, rockets, or any munitions at all. So the passenger could only carry 2 bombs at a time, so they would do multiple sorties in one night just to drop enough bombs to do damage. Because of that, each pilot in the regiment had at least over 1,000 sorties. A handful even received Hero of the Soviet Union medals.

[editline]21st October 2013[/editline]
They also didn't carry parachutes either, officially to reduce weight to carry more bombs and because of the low altitude, but it's probably because the Soviet higherups didn't want to waste money and issue them to women.

How about some hilariously fucked up history

The Puckle gun! Basically a really early auto-cannon, it was basically a really early flintlock revolver designed in the super early 1700's.

What makes this gun hilarious is the bullets it can fire

It could be modified to fire square bullets as well as normal round ones. The round ones would be used on Christians and the square ones would be used on Muslim-Turks to show them how incredible Christianity would be for them. Of course the square ones were discontinued because they can't be rifled and without rifling you might as well just throw rocks.

square bullets can be rifled just fine, simply use polygonal rifling. one particularly early rifle that I don't remember the name of did this with pentagonal bullets
square bullets can be rifled just fine, simply use polygonal rifling. one particularly early rifle that I don't remember the name of did this with pentagonal bullets
I worded that poorly I guess. The square bullets wouldn't work with the rifling in the cannon because the barrel isn't designed for them.
