I almost wonder with modern jets and computer aided design and simulation, if one could really get it to fly, I know part of the problem was the ground effect force has a height limit, above which this thing drops like a stone, but another big problem was they channeled the thrust through a series of ducts which served to balance the thrust but reduce the overall power, seems like someone with a spare jet engine should try building one just to see if it could be done [editline]20th April 2013[/editline] if we can make a triangle fly level a wing fly without a tail and land a brick from space, I'm sure computer stabilization could get that to fly
