Coolest/Ugliest Weapons V5 - Bullpup AKs are the best

Gotta love German ambition tho. They had some crazy shit they wanted to build. It would have been very interesting to see what sort of tech would have come out of them had the war gone on longer/ had Hitler not put his stupid input into how the weapons should be used (See Me 262)

Arado E555 (with the sole purpose of bombing America from Germany)

Fw Trieflugel (yes those are motherfucking jet powered propellors)

Those are just some aircraft, there's plenty more crazy shit if you want to read up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wunderwaffe
OBJECTION!
They were only recorded to have hit one bridge, which it only did minor damage to; one battleship which was stripped of all equipment and only in-port to look big as a bombing target, and one destroyer that suffered a few casualties and some structural damage, but was quickly repaired. Just because you're meant to hit big targets doesn't mean you're going to hit big targets.

Besides, 1944 and onwards Germany was full of horrible ideas that actively hurt their war effort in production compared to just making what they know works and hoping for a stalemate. Baby's first jet fighter instead of using those rare engines for their proven and highly effective plane instead.
If they had more chances to use the Mistel, I'm sure they could have done a better job. They never had a chance to use them on the eastern front where they had plenty of IL-2 factories to hit, but their airfields were being overrun by T-34-85's before they could even ship in the warheads.
And when you say "proven and highly effective", I hope you really mean "catches on fire because theres no throttle governor"

The HE-162 did the same, but was made of wood, flown by kids, and only had one engine.
really if the Germans had used the v1s and v2s to bombard military targets they could have seriously put a damper on allied advances as well as being able launch the bombs from well behind their lines, but that was not to be.
also remember the me-262's jets were very underpowered, inefficient and had shoddy build quality. the number of those planes operational was very small compared and the losses they inflicted were minimal
Not gonna lie, I thought the best part of Captain America was that the Triebflugel was in it

well yeah but thats just cause late war German engineering was shit. Had Goring not stopped jet engine production in 41 or 42 because he naively thought the war would be over before 43, then maybe they would have had a jet engine that worked properly without catching on fire because the pot-metal throttle handle was pushed forward too quickly. Also didn't help that Hitler reclassified the 262 as a bomber instead of a fighter and stalled production of the aircraft with stupid ideas like adding a 50mm AT cannon to it.

somehow i doubt with their ball-bearing production being massively targeted by the allies, they could have even made a prototype, let alone get it to work out. plus with the amount of engineering that went into getting the f-35's VTOL driveshaft to work, i doubt you could even ever get this to work
[editline]18th November 2013[/editline]
huh... thats funny whoever made this picture didn't realize that we never used the super fortress in europe, i doubt the germans even had info on the super fortress
I like how the CG artist gave the vtol-thing Hartman's black flower, as if he were insane enough to fly one of those.
the treibflugel is like something you'd make it gmod that would fly up like ten feet and then spazz out and glitch into the ground

If you can't immediately identify the fucking aircraft don't cheat and look at the title of the image, that defeats the whole fucking point.

Well you know, considering that this is a thread about coolest looking weapons, I actually clicked the fullsize picture before reading the post, because it looked neat.

It's actually really hard to tell it's russian, I was easily mistaken into thinking it was a B29. Especially since the aircraft behind it also looks like another boeing.

Thats because it's a clone of a B-29.

Apparently thats legal now, they even have a Scrabble dictionary meant for use during the game.
My mother's words with friends buddies use it and it annoys the piss out of her.

The point of that dictionary is that when someone suggests a word, and you think that it is not a real word, you can look it up and prove them wrong or right. It's not so you can sit there flipping through pages till you find a word you can use.

do people still find goatse super shocking still? To me it's kinda nostalgic; it's like going back and reading goosebumps books that used to scare me shitless as a kid.

Dunno, it's a fair warning to give still. Hell, there's some people who haven't seen it. I work with kids in my daily job, and one of the most hilarious things is how they perceive internet memes. Our generation was at the frontier of memes, we were there when longcat was long, when you were playing the game (which you just lost) and when all your base were belang to me. Kids these days have a huge backlog of memes to pick from. Just last week, I walked into a classroom, all the kids laughing their asses off at 'Nigga stole my bike', like it was fucking 2003 or something.
Can't wait till 40 years from now when we have college courses on meme studies and meme histories, and meme museums full of god awful reminders of how shitty our sense of humor is.
anyway have an F-14 or an F-15

MiG 29. Twin engine, twin tails. Can't be anything else. Okay, maybe a F/A-18.

F-15 has twin engine and tails too, though. It could be an F-15.

From what i understand, they did make one or a few, they just couldn't get them off the ground.
