It's an AWACS radar platform. Those would fly behind the fighter jets and give them intel on enemy aircraft positions.

They didn't move the trigger guard forward like a normal AKM so it's still got that god awful trigger pull, they didn't convert the magwell to accept normal double-stack AKM mags, they didn't put on a handguard retainer ring for normal AKM furniture, and they didn't thread the barrel so it's just got a bolt on flash hider. When you look up "halfassed" in the dictionary, you get a photo of a Saiga AKM.
