You don't rechamber a gun like a Garand in .458 win because it's practical, you do it because it's fun. Fuck practicality.
oo look a p90

ahhhhh makes sense sorta. thats one thing about the P90, its hard to tell if it's real or airshit because even the real one has a dozen screws visible in it's shell.

Actually, nah, let's not skip over the MP7 just that quickly. Because it's kinda terrible, even compared to the P90.
The first thing you might notice it'd probably do better than the P90 is size. After all...

It looks small! And it is... Fairly small, yes. 41,5 centimeters long from back to front, and 17 centimeters from top to bottom, compared to the P90's 50,5x21 dimensions. Compact! But uh... That's with stock collapsed and 20 round mag inserted. IE; not really how it's most effectively used; especially the 20 round, which we'll get to later.

When you extend the stock and insert the 40 rounder, you're up on 64 centimeters long and a good 27 tall. Both longer and taller than the P90, with 10 rounds less per mag. Weight-wise, they're similar, with the P90 being slightly heavier by about half a kilo.
Next issue is the 4.6x30 round used. I've poorly composited* an image here to show you the scale, from left to right: 4.6x30, 5.7x28, 5.56x45 NATO

Now, you all know my opinion that biggest bullet is best bullet and the only rounds that should exist in this world is 10mm AUTO and 7.62x51 NATO. So I'll let someone professional speak on this point for me, 'cause I am biased all to hell and think the only solution is a SCAR H carbine.
- Greater effectiveness of the 5.7mm calibre against unprotected targets and equal against protected targets; energy deposit much higher for the 5.7mm
- Level of perforation of the CRISAT targets superior to the 150m NATO threshold (> 200m)
- The results of the QRT analysis (taking into account different remarks made by the competitors on the calculations of lethality have shown that the 5.7mm is 27 per cent more effective (Pi/h) against unprotected targets at 100m than the 4.6mm and 11 per cent more effective than the 4.6 against CRISAT protected targets at the same range.
- Regarding the barrel erosion, the conclusion of the QRT was that despite the fact that no significant erosion had been highlighted by the ETBS tests (5,000 rounds), the design of the 4.6x30mm ammunition would suggest a greater potential risk of barrel erosion.
- Reliability test
5.7x28mm
Total score = 127
Total score without taking into consideration the Belgian and German values = 96
4.6x30mm
Total score = 107
Total score without taking into consideration the Belgian and German values = 83
In short, 5.7 and the P90 beats out 4.6 and MP7 in every single category that NATO tested them for.
On top of that, I've heard a piece or two of anecdotal evidence where SWAT teams using the MP7 in the US have been accused of excessive use of force due to how many rounds they have had to fire to take down an unarmoured suspect compared to when they used MP5s and the likes. After all, it never looks good in the police report to state that you had to empty 40 rounds into a guy when you used to be able to do it with 3.
*One image had 4.6 and 5.7 compared, another had 5.7 and 5.56 compared. I overlaid the 5.7 rounds so they matched in size, then spliced it together.
I like the PP-2000

Only the fuckin' nazi's would think that a curved barrel on an assault rifle would be the proper solution for when ol' fuckin' Ferdi' Porche forgets to put a coaxial 7.92 on his shitty fuckin Tank Destroyer.

9mm Vityaz clone custom built in the US.
Builder also plans to build a "K" model similar to the MASTER FLG and then will look to see if he can find investors and sell kits for these two.

Fairly cool, I guess; but holy fuck does it look crude. Especially the big one. First off, that underfolder isn't even attached, it's just laid there for show. Second, look at the ejection port and bolt and the cutout in the dustcover for the cocking handle to move along. And the place the gas tube meets the front sight block. It's way cool to have a 9mm AK and a US legal Vityaz clone, but damn, I hope that one's just a prototype/proof of concept, 'cause if the kits look like that...
[editline]22nd November 2013[/editline]
Second one looks way good, though. Very professionally done, though kinda highly illegal in the US as it is.

Here he is shooting it, no stock attached. I'd assume he produced it as a pistol.
The second one was an actual production by a company, its the MASTER FLG.

he most likely left that stock off so it would legally be a pistol, not an SBR.
I think we've established that the stock was just for show, but did anyone else also notice it's the wrong stock for a Vityaz? They use sidefolders.
Also from the builder:
"Shortening the receiver is a big pain in the ass. (Get ready to pull your hair out.)
I know, I shortened the receiver on my 9mm AK.
The first prototype, I started out with a Draco and modified EOD 7.62X25 bolt. I reverse engineered my Vityaz clone from the it.
The EOD design couldn't be modified for my new shorter receiver and the manufacturer refused to do any design changes, so I was forced to design my own bolt. I timed my bolt to control out of battery fire and it has a spring loaded firing pin.
The EOD firing pin is free floating and stuck forward one time, causing a full auto mag dump. It was just too dangerous. I ended up spring loading it also.
This is my AK guru buddy bumpfiring the first prototype with a modified EOD 7.62X25 bolt."
