It's even straight blowback. ForgottonWeapons called it a Hi-Point with $700 added to the price tag because it had the H&K name on it. [editline]23rd November 2013[/editline] Wait no I thought you were talking about the VP70
Yeah that gun is also garbage.
Christ everytime I see that shitty Chi-com SKS I start to puke God help me

Not, gonna lie; the third one is one of the less cringe inducing California compliant ARs that I've seen. Shit, pageking. Have this: The WTS Waffentechnik .50BMG pistol. Couldn't find out much about it, seeing as the manufacturer has been bought by another company.

I really, really don't get it. California ARs look exactly the same as any other AR, I have never seen even 1 person with that atrocious furniture out of the 5 or 6 gunshows I've been to and countless range days.
am i the only one who has sudden pains in their hands when they look at guns like this oh and the fg42
Yeah. It's not like a generic AR-15 platform is very historically significant, incapable of being mass produced or unique. If someone defaces their common guns like ricers deface Hondas, they aren't doing much harm to anything.

For he shall bring salvation to the world, and all the nonbelieving floppies shall be slotted by his might!
But wait! There's more than a two-headed FAL! In the 1980s, when the Soviet Army had nothing particularly better to do, they released a demand to create better assault rifles, named Project Abakan. It's where guns like AEK-971 and AN-94 the Pulleygun were created and commissioned for mass production. It's also where TsNIITochMash Design Bureau, makers of such popular guns as AS VAL and VSS Vintorez made the AO-63, known for being their experimental top-down double barrel high rate of fire assault rifle. Along with the AN-94 it had the best accuracy, but the size and recoil was probably utterly horrible for what was meant to be an AK-74 replacement. While there are mockup designs showing what it may have looked like, there's nothing better than an 80's burly Spetsnaz operative handling a weird ass mashup supposed to represent that rifle in an 80's action movie. Which was also a FAL with two barrels and a redundant Lewis Gun magazine, so the wrath of the two-headed FAL god strikes again. Would you run away from an 80's burly Spetsnaz operative wielding that son of a bitch? I know I would.

3000 rounds per minute. Very interesting about it's design is, it doesn't have two bolts. It doesn't even have one bolt. Instead, the barrels are the parts that move back and forth to cycle the weapon. This might not seem too crazy when you first hear it, but imagine having a bolt action rifle, and instead of racking the bolt back, you slide the barrel forwards to load a new round, then pull it back to the bolt and firing pin waiting still. [t]http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/5726/4901859.jpg[/t] [t]http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/1983/4901861.jpg[/t] It'd fire one barrel at the time, and the force created by that round would then drive a gear, which would load the other barrel to be fired. One could only shudder to imagine the instability of this weapon. While the movement of each barrel would cancel eachother out, backwards-recoil wise, think the push from side to side from moving two ~20" long, thick barrels, each 1.500 times a minute. Oh, and it fed from twin regular RPK-74 mags, giving it a capacity of only 90 rounds. :v:
That's all nice and stuff, but how about an actual, functional double-barrel LMG?
God damn it :v: I found stuff on it on Wikipedia, but it's images didn't come up on google, so I went with Burly Guy's assault rifle.
That's all nice and stuff, but how about an actual, functional double-barrel LMG?
Are there any videos of this in action?
Are there any videos of this in action?
Prolly not. It's a 1976 Soviet one-off design, sits in a museum now.
Fun fact: none of those are california compliant anymore! They added thumb hole stocks to the "banned features" list.
Then how you hold the rifles, without getting a bad wrist?
So its basically one of those instances where they can't ban them outright, but instead will make them all but useless. Interesting, you Americans really do have a odd relationship between your guns and legislation.
I really have no idea what the hell California was thinking with that. Don't you need a very hard to get permit anyway, to own a rifle of any kind?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/xiUuH9K.jpg[/t] Thai Mauser Type 46
No. No permits are needed for rifles or pistols. There is a 10 day waiting period for purchasing both.
I'm sorry but what the hell. As far as I know, in some states a permit isn't needed for pistols, in lieu of 'self-defence weaponry', but you don't need a permit for rifles? How's it even possible they're shooting every gun enthusiast/owner/hobbyist in the foot by expecting people to be honest about the reason they want a gun if they have such lazy legislation? What if you changed the AK74 to be clip-fed? And stuck a shotgun stock on it? Would that be 'California compliant'? This discussion probably belongs in the firearm thread. Or take it to Mass debate.

Or take it to Mass debate.
most states don't require any sort of permit, for longguns or handguns. Most gun crime in the US is done by handguns rather than long guns. I think long guns only account for 1 or 2% of total gun crime every year. Legislators enact things like AWBs not because they make things safer, but because they make soccer moms feel good and raise their approval ratings to green-peace hippies and Feinstein-liberals.
How about California legislation just fucks off.
How about California legislation just fucks off.
maybe when Feinstein and her flying monkeys either kick the bucket or get voted out.
[t]http://www.topsniper.ru/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/as-44.jpg[/t] Sudaev AS-44, basically an AK-47 progenitor.
Fun fact: none of those are california compliant anymore! They added thumb hole stocks to the "banned features" list.
some of those aren't thumb hole stocks
[t]http://i.imgur.com/xiUuH9K.jpg[/t] Thai Mauser Type 46
Wouldn't it technically be Siamese back then? Either way I always thought those were pretty interesting to look at, the familiar design, but the unique markings, caliber, and colors, it has a sort of otherworldly feel to it. The Thai/Siamese also adopted an Arisaka pattern rifle 20 years later that they designated the Type-66: [t]http://www.forgottenweapons.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/IMGP3541a.jpg[/t] (in the middle, on top is another 46, and on the bottom is a Japanese Type-38) Funny thing about the Type-66, even though from a design standpoint it was just a Type-38 in a bigger cartridge with Mauser sights, it had almost 0% part compatibility, nearly every component was scaled slightly differently.
so basically all stocks are outlawed in california

Does anyone have a link to the thread where one guy had one of these and took pictures of it in colour? I swear I remember such a thing but my mind could be playing tricks on me. Thanks.
Always been a fan of FAL's with armory marks like the second one to the bottom 30 rounders are also cool, if not ridiculous
