What I'm more confused about is how the fuck they got that gun in Australia
You practically need to be police / military to get anything like that
Australia didn't always have complete and utter shit gun laws, and if you're something like a wild dog hunter and get paid to go and kill those fuckers, you can get your hands on some nice rifles, AR10 possibly being one of them.

New Zealand has the same plug as Australia. It's most likely in NZ

Pre-1991 Tasmania had no gun laws at all. You could own machine guns and such. After 1991 they decided that you should have a licence for a gun and that you should need to register machine guns. After 1996 they became lame

A retarded man harming people isn't good justification to set up a silly set of firearms laws that don't do a whole hell of a lot of good.
[editline]11th December 2013[/editline]
I've also heard this story a bunch of times that a man called the police in the middle of the massacre saying he had a shot on the guy with a rifle and asked if he could take the shot, and the police operator told him not to and to flee the area.
Martin Bryant didn't even have a gun licence. So why did they punish those who did?
So then throw the charging handle on the left side because most people find that to be better ergo since nobody trains with bolt guns anymore. Having the charging handle there won't let you have a flat top railed receiver that can let you use more optics.
Problem is, the full-sized and the K one were meant for war, just utterly unsuited for it. Damn fine police patrol carbine, though.
Martin Bryant didn't even have a gun licence. So why did they punish those who did?
It's simple, to possibly prevent others from doing the same thing he did. Like in the US, for example. The government has good intentions when passing these laws, I'm sure, but it always seems to be done in a poor fashion. It only ends up harming those who would want to acquire guns legally, as criminals who are willing to get a gun no matter what will do so and go around any laws they can.
Also, mmmm

It's also a very durable rifle from what I can understand. :v:
Well it's based off an AKM so yeah of course it's durable.

Here's something that probably hasn't been posted before on this thread:

A while back I was wondering what it would look like to have an HK33 mounted onto an AR-15, so I messed around with some models and got this, I didn't bother putting on textures for this because I used about five different models and they looked clashing.
Take a look at the HK G41
Eh, that's really more of an HK33 with a forward assist and modified AR magwell. This thing was me trying to slap an HK33 onto an actual AR-15 lower.

Looks cool. I wonder the feasibility in doing something similar with a G3.
Looks cool. I wonder the feasibility in doing something similar with a G3.
Then you would just have an HK93
Then you would just have an HK93
But then I wouldn't have the ar15 lower with it's superb eggo-nomics for my fat american mitts.
Looks cool. I wonder the feasibility in doing something similar with a G3.
You'd probably need to step up to some form of AR-10 lower then simply to allow magazines to fit, or possibly take a modular lower and remove the magazine well, allowing you to just keep the HK magwell... which upon retrospect might be what I should've done in the first place. But either way the idea shouldn't be any less doable once you take the larger round into account. Of course since this is just a model, not an actual design, prototype, or anything, I can't really confirm if the idea is possible to begin with.
Seems like it would be infinitely easier to just convert the magwell rather than the whole lower for an absolutely negligible difference in ergonomics.

You're completely right. It would be a completely pointless thing to do; but it looks cool as fuck.

That feeling of stupidity when you realize that the bottom three aren't Russian M91/30's.
I am slightly concerned at the lack of needlessly decorated guns. And yes, i know that a lot of these pictures are worthy of the late rating.

Also, speaking of AR15s, I dunno why we don't see wooden stocks and grips all too often.

Because wooden stock are mostly useless anymore and are just dead weight when plastic is easier to make, can be precision molded, and does better at not burning your hands off when you grip
[editline]11th December 2013[/editline]
Still plastic can't get the nice look or durability of wood, walnut wood is probably stronger than many plastics anyway
