Big swords? Here's my mom standing next to Henry V's sword in a London museum. Bastard must have been compensating for something.
Broken link, you should rehost it.
Should be up now
Was at a turkish museum once, saw some crazy long two-handers. And the stick Moses used to part the red sea.
Was at a turkish museum once, saw some crazy long two-handers. And the stick Moses used to part the red sea.
haha they probably just found some old petrified stick and said "Those morons won't know the difference"
Bastard must have been compensating for something.
He probably was given the scale of that Dong Guard

They made the huge bulges so that their junk didn't rub against their legs, since physical contact burned or something.
well that goes to show how shite my tour guide was if that wasn't explained. the goblin helmet was pretty coo though
Yeah, I've got a lot of pictures of some pretty cool stuff at that museum if you guys want me to post a few

The last handgun, the blue and white one, is encrusted with a shitload of diamonds and is worth a few houses. [editline]15th December 2013[/editline] And I'm not going to pretend like a remember the stories behind all of these pics. I know a lot of the weirder things, like the things that are obviously foreign, were gifts from other empires to the king. [editline]15th December 2013[/editline] Also just a random funny story while I'm going thru my old photos. Later that day my mom and I went to go check out Buckingham Palace. We went after dark, so there was literally no one there except for my mom and I. So as we're being touristy and taking pics and whatnot, the guards come from the palace to the gate, and my mom and I are like "well shit, we're in trouble". Then the gate opens and a convoy comes thru and into the palace. In this convoy was a Bentley with flags in the windows. After the gates close, the guards are still outside, so my mom decides to figure out what was up. So she asks "Was that someone important?" and the guard is like "Her? Yeah, I'd say she is somewhat important." And my mom asked "Can I ask who that was?" And the guard says "Well ma'am, that was the queen." My mom flipped her shit, since she is a flight attendant and comes to Britain all the time but has never seen the queen haha. tl;dr: went to buckingham palance after dark, accidentally saw queen. Her Bentley leaving. Also side note, if you are into cars, I would highly suggest visiting the Knightsbridge area in London, near Harrods. Outside my hotel was parked a Lambo Aventador, and I saw countless Astons, Maseratis, and Ferraris just parked on the street. It was incredible.
that looked more like a suit of training armor for a child instead of an actual midget's armor. i mean royalty would definatly be expected to know how to wear armor or use weapons from a young age, so they often made replicas of weapons and armor espeacially for them so when they do grow up they already know how to use the real article

I saw a Katar in there. Always thought they were facinating, with normal ones being made out of broken swords usually and ones from the south being more wavy, like a Kris. Then there were scissor Katarsm. Scissor katars had a mechanism in the grip so if you squeezed, the blade would split inside the opponent. I also imagine they could be used to catch an incoming blade. They were generally impractical though because the stress of combat on the hinges usually wore them out quickly so they were mainly used for showm
More German steel, sorry for the dump.. but oh lord shiny prettiness.
Late reply, but is that an MP5SD2 with an AR-15 grip and trigger guard?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like a custom trigger pack with an Ergo Grip and AR trigger guard.

They made the huge bulges so that their junk didn't rub against their legs, since physical contact burned or something.
Well I'd say the reason why the huge codpieces existed was almost entirely because of fashion. Plate armour in the 16th century imitated the fashion trends that were prevalent. That includes those codpieces and later, sharp breastplates/cuirasses that were meant to look like a doublet. Specific designs can only be found in little periods of time during the 16th century such as fluting and splayed sabatons. Henry VIII who owned that set of armour with the huge codpiece, also owned this armour which was in fact, his final set. No codpiece, completely different style of helmet that was getting increasingly popular and etc... If the huge codpieces actually prevented or stopped someone's junk getting highly irritated due to physical contact and STDs then it would have stayed around for much longer. It's merely fashion that imitated civilian clothing.
Oh hi Dark Souls
Rillers jokes about Sweden got old 100 pages ago, move along. What is this?
I've held one of these and it has to be the flimsiest piece of shit I have ever seen. Theres a good 1-2 inch gap between the lower receiver and the upper and the handguard has a ton of wobble. If you shake it even just a little bit, it feels like you're playing the maracas. I think the one I held said it was made in Egypt or something.

The MBA Gyrojet. Rather than make this post informational, I'll just put these pics here. As a bonus, have Gyrojet's underwater harpoon rocket launcher device! [t]http://www.firearmsworld.net/usa/handgun/gyrojet/underwater.jpg[/t]
When I look at the Gyrojet I can't help but be reminded of Warhammer 40k's Bolt pistols, since they're more or less the same concept cranked up to 11, and then squared.
A company is actually currently working on producing gyrojet ammunition again, so the people who do own one (Like LifeSizedPotato) will be able to try it out.
You know what's awesome in the most impractical way? Early laser sights. You could probably clobber someone to death with one of those.
