I don't know cars, but I love the angular, boxy, downright mean-looking designs of the 80s. Too many modern sports cars look like someone left them in the sun too long and they melted into indistinct blobs of curves and that has zero appeal to me.

Car design is taking an annoying turn and I really wish they'd stop.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I know perfectly well why they do it. Modern cars created with computer-aided wind tunnel design are way more aerodynamic than their more conventionally-built predecessors, but aesthetically they don't appeal to me.

Keep in mind that modern cars offer a lot of benefits that are responsible for the increase in size and weight. Increasing crash safety standards are largely responsible for the drastically increased weight of modern cars, and a bit of legroom is always nice.
Aerodynamics look good on a car that was designed to look sleek, the problem is when they take an existing, boxy design and slap curves everywhere to make it aerodynamic

I wanna be a mid- to late 70's private investigator, riding with my cop-buddy in a '70 Challenger, carrying a Colt Commander on me, a sawed-off Ithaca pump (Not a Stakeout, a birds-headed sawn-off) between the seats, and a Mini 14 and anachronistic A1-style dissipator AR as trunk-guns.
It'd be pretty rad.

ACTUALLY, scratch the AR. I'd rather have a custom G3, made with the reciever of a KA4, and stock and handguard from an A3 slim.

Oh yes, babe. Keep a clamp-on scope handy for it, since the G3 has a rather amazing mount for keeping zero in being taken off and on.
This is one of the most aerodynamic vehicles ever made, And it looks gorgeous! So they don't have to look that bad.. Its just that most modern run of the mill cars are designed by panels of people so they have to have a bit of everything, making them jack of all trades but a bit bland and samey.
