Could have been a commission. Which in some ways is actually a worse thought.
At least it reminded me of the somewhat neat-looking STG-47 furniture-set from Ironwood design.

A bit shorter on the stock and a darker, redder wood and it'd look [I]really[/I] nice. Combine with a waffle mag and a reinforced dust-cover, of course.

The name doesn't exactly make all that much sense to me, most of that furniture looks more reminiscent an FG-42:

Except the pistol grip, but even then the biggest difference between a first model FG-42 pistol grip and an STG one was the angle.
But I suppose calling it "FG-47" wouldn't make as much sense since paratrooper AKs tended to have folding stocks.

I like it. It really isn't [I]that[/I] "tactifucked" all things considered. He's only got one sight on it and the over-the-reciever rails can actually be useful on an AK. The laser can be useful as well, and I don't considering replacing the stock to be tactic00l. Only thing slightly excessive would be the muzzle brake.

How is the standard AK-74 muzzle device of all things, "excessive" ?
I've never seen someone with a LAM/PEQ-12 on their AK.
