From an actual practicality standpoint if we're building a giant war machine I'd rather take an actual tank.
Like a Bolo.
I wouldn't operate with that if I where you.
Rather take something with a tad more mag capacity.
45ACP compact Glock with a threaded barrel
see about those tanks with like 20 different guns, where do they store the ammo on those fictional beasts? when you have one gun you only need one caliber of shells not the 5-6 you see in the fictional massive tanks, also bigger guns > more guns

Not really, especially with wars fought in the near future.
Air cover is insanelly effective these days, so I personally predict most infantry and armored combat to happen in urban area's.
Urban area's are flanking heaven, guerilla warfare playgrounds so to say.
The more angles and corners you can cover, the better.
Bigger guns> more guns might have worked in WW2 but not these days or the days to come.
Sorry if my typing is a bit off, had a few beers just now but yus.

Would look better if it was a FNP-45 Tactical.
A more functional better gun with better magazine capacity would be good. But grip safeties are completely fine.

For a single action pistol, yes, but putting them on a striker fired safe action pistol, or even a submachinegun is as retarded as a magazine disconnect safety.
Grip safety discussion V2 here we go again...

Why does everyone have such a boner for ak's? I don't think they look very good personally.

Its amazing to watch an automatic rifle as light as the AR-10 being fired on full auto with little perceived recoil.
That muzzle brake is made of titanium; also notice the positions of the selector switch. AUTO is the first pos, while SAFE is vertical and SEMI is to the rear; conversely, on modern AR/M16s, SAFE is the first pos, while semi is vertical and burst/auto is rearward or down in the case of a 4 position switch.
I suppose it makes sense for a SAW type weapon.
I also find it funny that they tried to do the belt and mag feed on the M249, but it works horribly.

How weird, I'm watching Inglorious Bastards right now. It's the OSS pistol glove, and it doesn't fire a shotgun shell, but rather a .38. For anyone wondering how it is used, you load it up and punch your target. The face (or other body part) of your victim depresses the plunger, firing the gun.
On the topic of Fallout weapons;

This beat up piece of firewood and scrap metal can blow the head off of pretty much anything in the game, Legion assassins, BoS paladins, deathclaws, it's only drawback is that the iron sights are fucked and the shots go off to the right.
[editline]5th January 2014[/editline]
Well, that and the fact it's bolt-action.
Unless you're playing Fallout 3, where in that case it is a beat up piece of firewood and scrap metal.

Plus you had a far smaller selection of drugs to jam into yourself that somehow make your bullets go straighter and hit harder.
If we're talking Fallout 3, I'd much prefer this baby
