It's a fine round.
This is what happens when you give someone a gun, and they have no idea how the fuck it works, but think they do.

also holy shit why is the ris so bent? might be because they put that stupid ~rail extender~ on the top.
It's a fine round.
Its a stupid compromise is what it is. They stuck their foot in their mouth and couldn't go back to 9mm or .45 ACP, so they cut 10mm down and ended up with a stupid intermediary between 9mm and .45ACP.
They tried to re-invent the wheel and once they realized their mistake, had spent so much money on it, they decided to sell their snake oil to everyone.
Lets keep in mind folks that caliber wars is opinion-based; I'm not saying its a worse round, I'm saying it was a dumb idea, and you can buy whatever caliber you want.
yeah I have no idea why the rails were like that. As soon as I started taking it apart in attempt to fix it, the whole fucking thing fell apart. Even better is that delta ring is completely for show the rails are actually being held onto the gun by that extender.

Mall Ninjas don't need no stinkin' sights, they're too operator for that! They sure do like their shoulder things that go up though...

I actually like .40. It is a quite fine round and by most all means more practical and useful than 10mm, but can't keep up my 10mm fanboy farcé without calling it short'n'weak.

Tom Clancy and his post-mortem HK hard-on disagrees with this statement.

This invalidates his opinion.

Shotgun AKA Coyote-A from the Devil May Cry games.
It's a break-action double-barrel hunting shotgun that uses magazines and is reloaded by flicking it open-and-shut. It's pretty cool.
on the topic of multi-barreled weapons, here's the Warhammer 40,000 Storm Bolter, a .75-ish fully automatic mega-gyrojet machine gun that probably has a non-euclidean magazine because there's no way that thing holds more than 12 rounds per barrel even though in related media Space Marines always let loose insane volleys of fire. often comes with a box/drum magazine precisely for that reason
great for clearing the tight inner corridors of gigantic space cruiser wreckages of psychotic space monsters, not sure if great for anything else. completely impractical of course, like everything else in Warhammer

the guys these guns were built for use them as machine pistols and it's usually the smallest weapon in their arsenal, obviously
As much as I like WH40k stuff, I've never liked the sights on the weapons. They look so useless. Unless the person using it (ie. Space Marine) uses it as a point of reference when combined with some sort of hud projected into their eye via their helmets or something.

AFAIK the canon/in universe explanation given is that the bolters have a targeting system built into them that links to the marine's helmet. Of course this makes no sense when [del]plot armor marines[/del]EMPEROR'S WILL MADE MANIFEST who wear no helmets use them and still manage to hit the targets perfectly.
Of course then there's also the thing that they don't really need to be aiming that well considering the ranges the space marines generally seem to engage their enemies at, so maybe they're just winging it.

Space Marine) uses it as a point of reference when combined with some sort of hud projected into their eye via their helmets or something.
their armor suits have integrated targeting systems so they don't need to aim that much. sniping requires a special scope and barrel though
in 40k most people don't aim because they either have auto-targeters(Space Marines, Eldar, Chaos, Necrons) or carry guns that don't need aiming (Orks, Chaos and Necrons here too, Tyranids)
the Imperial Guard however do have to use sights, although the normal grunts usually get impaled/stomped/eaten/blown up before they have to worry about aiming, or they're too busy shitting their pants in front of the rampaging space monster that they forget everything else, or they come in such numbers that the sheer laser beam spam is enough to kill the enemy very, very dead and aiming is irrelevant. Stormtroopers, Assassins, Inquisition officials and other special guys DO aim, but they're most of the time so precise that they might as well be using automatic targeting
Alternate History stuff.

I was going to quote you and ask "Turning Point, right?" but then I noticed it in the pic link, so point is moot.
It did have some nice ideas, yeah. [del]Plus it had fliegerfaust, which is always cool.[/del] Disregard, it was so long time ago that I played it that I remembered the rocket launcher as to being fliegerfaust, but it's just some awful triple barreled silly box instead.
The only recent thing about Nazi Invasion that was cool was the Hellsing OVA.

I think the reasoning for bare-headed Space Marines being a thing is so that people who play the tabletop can recognize a squad leader or special character. Otherwise, they'd be wearing a helmet, but the need to recognize certain unit types dictates that they don't.
Also, on the topic of 40K, how come we never see any combi-grenades? I have one personal theory involving the notion that combi-grenades would be the only reloadable combi-weapon in-universe and wouldn't be easy to balance on tabletop. :x
In keeping with the thread title, how about we get a bullpup AK down here?

The Ukrainian VEPR rifle, at least they had the decency to give us a full buttplate, and move up the charging handle.
Interesting that it doesn't have an RPK receiver like currently imported VEPR rifles.
Google Bullpup AK and the AKU 94 pops up everywhere.
It was in The Town at the end.

Semi-auto belt feds kinda suck; They look cool and all but they suck to shoot. Watch the MAC review on the DSA semi-auto RPD, its got a long trigger pull so it tires your finger out fairly quickly. Besides, why spend $2-3K when you could just have an RPK with 75 or 100rd drum and a bumpfire stock?
It's a build, I didn't even surpass 1 k and i'm happy with my belt fed gun.
Apparently some guy was able to shove a Saiga shotgun inside a muzzelite stock:
