Carbine ARs are cute with the A2 stock, too.

I want to see that top one with a tiny little 10rd mag.
The barrel is hella-long, it's a friggin' bullpup. But yes, they do make one where the barrel sticks beyond the RIS system.

Technically now it's a "Desert Tech Stealth Recon Scout" company got renamed last month.
Also to me that thing always looked like a DSR

Just with a thicker buttplate, more rails, less Germany, and only one magwell.

Could someone name this rifle for me please?

VSSK Vychlop, also known as the VKS
Russkie bolt action suppressed sniper rifle, firing a special .50 caliber subsonic round.

It's a silent 12.7mm/.50 rifle. Don't think it uses standard 12.7 rounds, but the idea of it is still cool as balls.

Oh crap, pageking. Have some snake-oil.

[sp]Might not be snake-oil, but I haven't seen any tests that weren't from CBJ confirming it's claimed feats. Also, it wasn't even good enough to replace the L85 in British service, so it gotta be bullshit. L85 is the worst.[/sp]

Here is is from the other side, as you can see the bolt is straight-pull.
Also those two weapons on the wall are the RG-6 grenade launcher (basically a GP-30 converted into a revolver) and the SVU marksman rifle (bullpup SVD).
[editline]11th January 2014[/editline]
My automerge, and yeah it fires a special 12.7x55mm round, which to my knowledge is completely unique to this rifle.
anybody got any pictures of current day armies where the soldiers decorate their tanks and shit?
it's for a thing

I think this kind of old-fashioned-looking scope is pretty cool looking.

I think the Shagohod is the best one of them all, just because of how clearly and logically it fits into the setting. Sure its way ahead of the technology of the time, but the idea of being able to fire an IRBM from any terrain, or increase the IRBM's range to ICBM levels with some flat ground would totally ruin the Mutually Assured Destruction concept.
Also, augurs are neat.

Well, the whole 'let's stick rockets on the tank instead of just putting another stage on the missile' thing is pretty stupid, and I don't think the writers really understood MAD since unless you can obliterate your enemy's launch capability before they can launch (which isn't what the thing was supposed to be able to do) then they're still able to retaliate, but I like that the Shagohod looks fairly plausible as a vehicle. The others mostly look like some wacky anime junk that would look completely out of place next to actual military vehicles.
I almost bought Metal Gear Rex as a military vehicle until it opened its 'mouth' and roared like a Transformer or something. Anthropomorphization is not a characteristic of military vehicles.

Metal Gear Excelsus is really awesome.

6 legs, 2 massive heated fuck you blades attached to the arms, and 2 plasma cannons.
[sp]too bad it only traveled a few hundred meters upward only to be totalled, had one of its own massive heated blades used against it by a dude holding it WITH HIS HANDS, and then later used as throwing material for a corrupt (read: fucking crazy) politician in a fist fight.[/sp]

I disagree. The hardest part of all rocketry is being able to carry enough fuel to push yourself, without bringing too much fuel that you can't go anywhere, so free acceleration to 300mph without having to bring any fuel or storage space for that fuel saves a tremendous amount of weight, which could definitely provide a large boost to a rocket's range. How much exactly I have no idea whatsoever, but it would certainly provide some tangible difference.
As for MAD, the idea was that they would use the Philosopher's Legacy to fund the creation of as many shagohods as they wanted, which could then fire their missiles from anywhere, meaning they could be used to hit defensive networks before they could react, or simply launch the missile from a different country and perform some catastrophic blame games.
Combine those ideas with the fact that Volgin was more of a terrorist than a member of the Russian military, and his real plan was to be able hold both superpowers hostage, as neither could overtly counter his nuclear capabilities without hitting each other, thus allowing him to basically make himself immune to attack thanks to MAD.

Yeah pretty much, although I think the Hydro Cutter on Ray is a super cool idea.
I couldn't give the first two shits about Metal Gear, I think it's stupid and silly, buuuut...

Oh baby~
The Sherman gets shit on way too much, it was a decent tank for its time.

I mean, sure, every tank after the Panzer IV could knock it out without even having to worry about getting hit, but those tanks were not very common. The Panzer IV was the main German tank and the Sherman was fairly matched against it. And also sometimes US infantry divisions had more Shermans than German Panzer divisions had Panzers.
Also, the early cast-hull ones looked cute.
