Sure it's not the prettiest of things, to be honest it is pretty ugly, but the Farquhar Hill was a pretty cool rifle in design. It was used by the royal flying corps on the British side in World War One for a bit, until we stuck guns on planes instead. Main issue was that it is larger and heavier than the Enfield being used at the time, and probably much more expensive. Still a neat concept, and it's a rarely heard about gun.
