State gun of Michigan is a sideways held glock
The M320 just seems so terribly bulky and heavy for an underbarrel. I'm sure you could ask FN nicely to refit the FN40GL to an AR15 platform rifle, giving you much less bulk and on top of that, ambidextrous side-loading together with the addition of traditional bottom-loading.
Or copy the Russian designs and go caseless.
I always wondered why the M320 didn't tilt down. That makes the most sense to me. It is also Fully Ambi that way.
A friend of mine has a bayonet on his pistol, I'll see if I can get you guys a picture.
I happen to own one, it's pretty gangsta.

Now you just need a barrel with another 3 inches to go just past the blade.
And the state gun of Arizona is all of them.

how would you stab if the barrel is longer than the blade
Well, I thought this was interesting, an african lady with an STG 44

They had issues with the M203 and grenades falling out, down tilting would be worse.
"the AG36 swings out laterally for loading, allowing for the use of longer rounds when necessary, e.g. baton or flare rounds."
"Its (M320) breech opens to the side, allowing it to fire a variety of newer rounds which are longer, in particular certain non-lethal rounds such as Federal Laboratories' "exact impact" (brand name) non-lethal sponge batons or sponge grenades."

Whats more interesting is an M14 in the background, could be a Chinese Polytech M14, can't be sure.
Pretty common in Syria, they stumbled upon piles of them there. Prvi Partizan still makes the ammo.
They are also made by Khyber Pass gunsmiths as well as 7.92x33 Kurz; they are widely available and considered second rate guns to the AK-47/74.
Bakelite give me a woody. Such gorgeous marbling.
STG pic has emerged in this thread before, atleast twice.. still hella good picture though.
Funny how guns and spears have been replaced by rifles and other firearms in Africa, what a place..
Ugh I'm constantly checking my gmail to see if that bloody knife is being sent yet, fffff- hurry you shitlords.

Or the M420, as I call it, since I use it entirely for firing smoke everywhere in BF3

You think it's good in BF3? Bad Company 2; be two dudes with ammo-crates dumped in eachother's foxhole, then mortar the Rush objective with smoke constantly. I called it Operation Silent Hill.

Operation Metro, one support guy spraying up a corridor and dropping ammo, an assault firing smoke everywhere and dropping medkits
Instant choke point.

You mean 1 medic + entire team of engineers
That map is a clusterfuck if RPGs aren't disabled

Isn't that the case for, like, the entire world?
how would you stab if the barrel is longer than the blade
i thought that was the joke
Why not just sharpen the end of the barrel?

Too bad I'll never own one

The russians already had the base model out since the late 50's.

Also the stgw 57 has a cool-but-primitive look to it that I like. I appreciate a lot of early assault rifles.
Hmmm, official gun of Massachusetts would have to be something out of Springfield Armory.

It's the Trapdoor I think.

From what I understand it's actually not too much heavier than the M203 or FN40GL, and switching to entirely new launched grenades would probably be too costly, but other than that I agree, adapting the FN40GL/Mk.13 would probably make for a better idea, couldn't be all that hard either since the SCAR-L isn't too different from an AR-15 in terms of ergo.

Let's just face it...

SIG-522 is the best Eurovillain-gun. I can't even remember any villains using it, but the looks of it just fits so well.
For those who don't know, a eurovillain-gun is for central to western-european evil guys. You know how Russians and middle-eastern bad guys always have AKs in movies? Europeans use G36s, Sigs and AUGs. Always. Americans, ever-the-good-guys, always use M4s.

I generally associate Eurovillains with expensive handguns or obscure SMG's thanks to James Bond.

Just checked IMFDB, and Clive Owen's assassin character in Bourne Identity used a sniper version of the 550. Also, the villain in the A-Team remake (awesome movie by the way) had a 552 without a stock :v: No 522s though.
Also nice airsoft photo

Clearly none of you have ever seen an FN FAL bayonet/muzzle brake.

I knew the pic is airsoft, pretty obvious; the model's not even that good, plastic looks cheapy and stuff. It's just a nice photo. Not like there's many private 552's i the hands of photographers.
The Bullpup FAL abomination:

A chubby looking AK pistol:

Oh yes, that FAL bullpup again. Here have a look at this:

Bunch'a old World War guns, we got a Bren, a Garand, an SMLE, and an M1 carbine.
What's that? I skipped two? Yes I did, those two in the middle are both FAL prototypes, one on top is conventional layout and chambered in 8mm Kurz, and the bottom is a bullpup in .280 British.
[editline]24th January 2014[/editline]
And here it is in the hands of a British soldier
Isn't that the case for, like, the entire world?
ya but remember the turn of the last century they were still using matchlocks and flintlocks, wasn't until the last 60 years really that manufacturing started on a scale that made them so fucking cheap and plentiful that they are available to even the poorest of revolutionaries or armories. i mean we had bolt actions mass produced but they still were expensive and out of reach for the most part
