I absolutely hate that show for that very reason. I understand you have to turn a profit but when you have your convenient "expert" for everything under the sun say something is worth tens of thousands right in front of the customer and then try to offer them maybe $100 for it? Fucking ridiculous. A proper collector would pay eons more, maybe close to the actual value, than that fuck ever would.
At the time they still were being made and he was right on the price at which you could by a whole kit for. It wasn't a collectors one or a fancy one. Just a standard regular one. The one's that go for thousands are gold plated, bigger, come with everything really. Rick's not a bad guy. Woman came in wanted $2,000 for a Broach her grandmother had. He said: "Oh I'd love to pay you $2,000 for this. I'm just going to cut right to the chase, I don't think you know what you have here, I'll pay you $15,000 right now for it." When ever I go to a Pawn Shop it's a rule that you should be prepared to get an offer that's half of the value because they cannot sell it for full retail price. I've been to Gold and Silver on my 21st birthday, and didn't get to see Chum or Corey but did get to see Rick. He's pretty much like he is on the show. Got some good deals and they offer on average about 45%-65% of the actual value. I wish I could go to Vegas again, but at least I had a fun birthday. The other show however, Hardcore Pawn is a shit hole. It's about a 4 hour drive from my house. Been there too. Awful staff. You are lucky if they offer you 20% of the actual price.
How exactly would these holes help?
They induce turbulence which under certain conditions reduces separation of air around the object and in turn reduces drag allowing the gun to fly farther when you hit it with your 9 iron.
Not really about the guns, but what he's doing with them; It doesn't seem nearly as excessive in context :v:
Looks like the FAMAS had a misfit baby with the G36.
That reminds me, over the course of its development the VHS went through pretty much every different design it could, they tried direct-impingement, long-stroke, even delayed blowback before settling on short-stroke. The magazine well also went through two iterations, the first was STANAG, but this was later revised for G36 magazines because apparently the Croats had a lot more of those already. Oh and it has a recoil reducer copied from an Ultimax 100. The new VHS-2 version also features an adjustable telescoping stock, as far as I know the only bullpup rifle to have this.
I kinda love the Ultimax. That's a pretty nice assault rifle. Oh wait, no it's not. It's a motherfucking LMG!
They had one of these on Pawn Stars. Woman only had the pistol and wanted $100 for it. Rick goes: "They still make these today and you can get the pistol, some flares and ammo in a kit for $80." Offered her $40 for it. That's insane. They are closer to $140, some even go over $4,000.
she just had the plainest version, also the pawnstars prices are often exagerated plus the stuff you see in the show is in his "upscale" shop, there's two shops there, one that does day to day stuff with average stuff then he has the second shop they use for the show and he displays his high price stuff [editline]3rd February 2014[/editline]
How exactly would these holes help?
make it lighter i guess? youve probably got at least a few ounces of weight off of that [editline]3rd February 2014[/editline] [t]http://www.gunslot.com/files/gunslot/images/75861.jpg[/t] badass motorcycle guns [t]http://imgc.allpostersimages.com/images/P-473-488-90/46/4606/NLCFG00Z/posters/a-motor-cycle-with-a-side-car-machine-gun.jpg[/t] notice how the guy with the gun has a shield yet the guy next to him doesn't lol

The M27 IAR is an HK416 that can fire from open bolt, which is much more akin to an LMG than a drum fed assault rifle, as is the M100 MK 8.

Very, very much machine gun features. The M27 isn't really a SAW of any kind, just a heavy-barreled closed-bolt, no-barrel-change rifle. And it smells of poop and is stupid.

And the difference is that things like the IARs or the Galil ARMs are assault rifles beefed up to serve as lighter machine guns, whereas the U100 is a real LMG, quick change barrel, open bolt, that can also function as a heavy assault rifle, not entirely unlike how the M249 can take STANAG magazines, only far better done.
This is completely false.. please stop spreading this lie
You were saying? http://blogs.militarytimes.com/gearscout/2011/10/24/whats-the-diff-between-the-m27-iar-and-the-hk416/?repeat=w3tc [editline]3rd February 2014[/editline]
Yes, the point I was trying to make is that we're taking assault rifles and modifying them a bit then calling them LMGs, whereas an LMG with assault rifle features is still an LMG. Speaking of that, the AR-10 LMG seemed to be pretty flawless (at least in the video someone posted awhile back) in its conversion from belt-fed LMG role to magazine fed assault rifle role.
Actually he'd be thinking of the LWRC M6A4. The A3 variant is a DMR.That stupid programme (Future Weaponry - sic?) showed both the M6A4 and the M27. That's why people are still going DA EMM TU SEVVUN HAS AWPEN BAWLT! You were saying? The reason the USMC adopted the M27 is for DMR reasons anyway..
So this is the sole reason people keep saying this? Why would they intentionally confuse people? Part of the program's requirements was that the platform fires from open and closed bolts, but I guess HK didn't bother with that. "With a shrinking budget, the Marine Corps is looking at ways to implement the IAR as a multipurpose weapon. Suggestions include use as an automatic rifle and as a designated marksman rifle."
Denmark hasn't been worth shit in any major war and you know it. you're a bunch of lazy good-for-nothing peasants eating red sausage. remember ww2, where you didn't do jack shit about the invasion and just let the germans invade you in a matter of hours? at least sweden had the balls to remain neutral, all you did was give yourselves over without even trying to resist.
At least we fired shots at them! The Swedes utterly fucked over the Norwegians and gave the Nazis a bigass boost to their nuclear program by letting the Germans wade through up into Norway instead of having to struggle with the tough-as-nails Finns. Also, we've gotten the same amount of confirmed kills in Libya as the British did with only a quarter of the force deployed, and we've been kicking ass and taking names in Helmand to the point where the Talibans rerouted their fighters to attack outposts belong to other nations than Denmark, 'cause shooting at Danes was suicide, and not the good kind.
It's the 21st century. People still expect adequacy out of HK? Oh, how naive we are...
Its all that "Well the Navy Seals use HK 416s and MP7s so HK must be Tier 1 operator level" hype.
Remember the 9th of April, 1940? We totally didn't sink Blücher, right? :~) Norway lasted for over two months before we capitulated. Denmark? TWO HOURS. Norwegian F16s in bomber roles had some of the largest kill counts in Libya.
...Oh wait, you're Norwegian, I thought you were Swedish. Sorry for the hate, man, you're cool.
They induce turbulence which under certain conditions reduces separation of air around the object and in turn reduces drag allowing the gun to fly farther when you hit it with your 9 iron.
soooo... you could say the dimples make it high speed low drag
soooo... you could say the dimples make it high speed low drag
Just like a golf ball. So the next time you shank a ball into the pond, use your gun. You have a smaller margin of error.
Had I been Swedish I wouldn't even attempt to defend their actions during WW2..
Our actions? we did what was best for our country and nothing else so we could remain neutral. Also we saved the danish jews and took in alot of norwegian children.

Bah! Why bother with dedicated sidecars and special MG mounts, just do what the Brits did! Let's face it, nothing quite beats charging at your enemies while riding a modified Royal Enfield motorcycle with a Tommy Gun mounted on the fore end. And it benefits from being able to be quickly removed and attached to the mount.
shoulda attatched a BAR to that instead, i mean the Thomson is amazing for hit-n-run tactics but the BAR could take out an engine block
