Well fuck, their dimensions look all funny.
camera is low to the ground, kinda makes the foreground casings look larger, but the illusion is broken when you look at the casings next to the gun.
It's actually only made to resemble a FAMAS for the sake of familiarity, the actual design seems to have more in common with the Ultimax 100, and SCAR-L. Although not much.
It's the internal components that matter, really. The former Foreign Legion officers probably wanted a familiar rifle design to go by as a service rifle.

Makes sense really, familiar design means easier to use, less training needed. Probably the same reason why Russia makes so many weapons that look like AKs, and why the US is so big on AR-15/10s.
Those smaller air rifles are probably able to hunt vermin, but if you want stuff like motherfucking BISON you want a big-bore motherfucker.
I don't know anyone in the right mind that would try to hunt a Bison with an air rifle, better off just going for a real rifle, with that size of bore needed surely you'd need some sort of license attached with it to be able to take that out with you as well. Best pellet I'd ever seen was off a real flash guy, down at this shooting range I go to every so often; the pellet was around 3-4 Cm long. They cost a tonne though to buy a tin of.

Screw your black tactical modern carbines with those silly ACOG sights, gimme a Sharps Rifle with a ridiculously long scope.
and it's a whopping 6x magnification scope too.

While on the subject of the Ultimax, it has recently become one of my favorite machine guns. If I were to survive the apocalypse, I would want one of these by my side. Extremely low recoil, decent rate of fire, 5.56, yes please. [editline]1st May 2013[/editline] Oh, also mag fed.
I like the bren a1 i think it looks cool as hell
Yeah, it's a pretty neat weapon, and it keeps up that Czech tradition of making their service rifle look a ton like someone else's but keeping the design unique (yes I'm looking at you, Vz. 58). [editline]1st May 2013[/editline]
Magnum Research BFR. It's kinda like the Pfeifer Zeliska revolver, except you can actually shoot this one without breaking your arms.
And customized ones are issued to NCR Rangers to commemorate 20 years of service. [t]http://images.wikia.com/fallout/images/7/72/RangerSequoia.png[/t] Why are all the gun images on the Fallout wiki so huge?
I heard you like obscure weaponry. I'd like to present one of the most rare M16 variants known to exist. The Colt Model 605 with all the similarities of a standard M16 A1 but with a much slightly smaller length for compactness. The rifle had two variants one being the 605-A which had a standard three-way fire-select and the 605-B which had a four-way fire-select allowing for a burst function. This rifle was issued in extremely limited numbers to vehicle crews and in some cases, early S.E.A.L teams during the Vietnam conflict. More rifles would have been produced, however short-stroke and and jamming issues plagued the rifle due to the lack of a modified gasport to which the designers gave little thought to. The rifles were initially produced with no forward assists, however, in later models there is evidence of the addition of a forward assist, but with all the components filled and machined off leaving the rifles with a raised 'hump' where the forward assist would usually be.
Modernised modernised AK-74
Post Modern?
Mordern? Although, i must admit, some of those modern AK's do look good. Still can't beat a good folding stock though, i know they're bad, but they look good. Waffle magazine is interesting aswell.
Owen Gun. Eeaurgh. I know submachineguns during WW2 weren't probably meant to be the most accurate weapons, but seriously? A box magazine on the top? I can understand helical, pan or horizontal magazines, but a box magazine? Is this Tommy and Sten Gun's illegitimate child that was pumped with Agent Orange?
Gravity assisted feeding, made it more reliable [editline]2nd May 2013[/editline] It also meant the gun could be used in the prone position
Modernised modernised AK-74
love how "modernized" AK's are just AK-74's with rail systems.
love how "modernized" AK's are just AK-74's with rail systems.
Don't some of the new 100 series have burst functions, though?
Don't some of the new 100 series have burst functions, though?
AK-107's have a burst fire function, as well as a neat gas system that heavily negates recoil and allows a lot more precise full auto and burst fire. AK-107's are like legit modern AK's, not just AK-74M's with new furniture. Their furniture is made of space magic fiberglass so it's stronger and lighter, as well as the magazines. The AK-108 is also chambered in 5.56 NATO.
