Indeed, i see more in this thread than any of the subforums i frequent (GGD, FT, Videos, SH)
I think the biggest assholes are people who keep talking about other assholes.
But who am I to say such things, content!
This time lapse image shows the rocket blast of the Gyrojet projectile being exhausted from both sides of the rear of the gun. The small separated red discs in front of the muzzle indicate the projectile is just starting to rapidly rotate, which transitions into the spiraling circles starting about a foot from the muzzle, indicating a high spin rate. The angled exhaust nozzles allowed a very high spin rate of five revolutions per foot, or 288,000 rpm at 960 fps.
Have nice day :)

No Tavor's or M14/mk14s?
M14
I adore the classic M14. So much so that I bought a little iron pin of it from a surplus/general military merchandise store yesterday on impulse.

It's not terribly well made and I don't think I can pin it onto any of my normal clothes without making relatively big holes, but I still like it and it was only a few bucks.
BEHOLD, the sharkatar
As impractical as it is, it's fucking metal.

Well looks like it'll throw a mean uppercut.
Which is cooler:

SKS (vote funny)

M1 Garand (vote informative)
Let me answer that question with this comparison:

7.62x39 is short, fat, and ugly communist oppression. .30-06 is made of glorious freedom.
Also the Garand does this:

The SKS does this:

In addition the Garand has better sights, reloads much faster, and has derivatives still in service with countries that can afford gear that's not 69 years old.
Case in point, those M14 rifles that got mentioned earlier, those are basically Garands shrunk down enough for the schoolkids dropped in 'Nam to more or less be able to hold em.
did somebody say garand???

I need to go shoot mine sometime soon. It's been toooooo long.
The welrod's pretty great dude
Now don't get me wrong, the gun is good. But how it looks is horrible. I know guns aren't made to look fancy. Atleast back then they weren't.
We need HBO to do another WWII mini series. It needs to focus either on the Germans or Soviets.
speaking of WWII cinematics, I saw Stalingrad last night
Super big let down. FX was awesome, but everything else was trash.
Band of Brothers was the best.
I'd love to see something from a German perspective though.. some day.. probally never.
There is a Band of Brothers styled miniseries from German perspective called Generation War.
"I propose a cutting-edge weapons system, the F-U-435 employminator. It's part tank, part jet, part aircraft carrier, and all crap.
It costs a fortune, and it will take hundreds of thousands of people to build. But it's better than wasting it on something foolish like food stamps, because the only way to get Americans back to work is to keep making things that don't."
I love Stephen Colbert.

That reminds me, does The Pacific get any better? When I was watching it, it seemed to just be some family drama stuff and also some dude boning some chick instead of fighting. Didn't really interest me.

Glorious American Springfield.

just watched it recently, fooking amazing
I honestly don't like pocket revolvers or snub nose revolvers.
The only revolver for me is one with one looooong barrel (and maybe a stock, too)
I really like snubbies 'cause I feel they're pretty much the best choice for a relatively high-powered holdout weapon - I'd much rather trust a snubbie .357 to save my ass rather than one of these small .380s. I know a bullet's a bullet, but, well:

and just 'cause I've got a thing for 'em, I dunno
I like all revolvers, actually, with the exception of the Taurus Judge 'cause it's a) a Taurus and b) waaaaaaaay overrated because POINT FOUR HUNDRED TEN SHOTGUN SHELLS
I want a P-90 in .380.
Because.

Revolver rifles and 6"+ barrels are where I like mine.
