I'm sorry, what were you saying about shitty Jap guns?
Better fix that, or Craptasket will ban you in a week or two for using a disrespectful term about an inanimate object.

Lol, its an abbreviation for Japanese, much like the slang term "Nip" was an abbreviation for Nippon.
Also, thank you broken post editing feature, I didn't want to remove that gigantic picture anyways...
It seems like if they made it in mass production and fix the jamming and feed issues they'd actually have an edge against U.S. marines and the garands they used
Thank god that wasn't the case, still a neat rifle though
how could the japanese make such crappy guns though....
i mean this... for example

is a coffee mill attatched to a barrel.....
[editline]10th March 2014[/editline]
you have to actually work to make a crappy repeating gun.....

There's a difference between "Jap" which is used to refer to things that are Japanese, and "Chink" which is a racist term used against asians.

Yeah you know like how Gook is short for Vietnamese!

They would've also needed to produce them a lot sooner than 1945. And even then it probably wouldn't have offered too much of an edge, remember the Germans were fielding assault rifles in the last year or two of the war and they lost to Russia's cheapo SMGs and old Mosins.

Hey, for all we know he was just talking about the rounds, "Jap" is a name that Arisaka ammo is manufactured under now.
I wonder what other awesome rip-offs and copys other nations made
Yeah you know like how Gook is short for Vietnamese!
Japan Listeni/dʒəˈpæn/ (Japanese: 日本 Nippon or Nihon; formally 日本国 About this sound Nippon-koku or Nihon-koku, literally "the State of Japan") is an island nation in East Asia.
I'm aware of that, I'm just saying that it's not necessary to use slurs
I dunno I guess it isn't that important. Just my two cents or whatever
I wonder what other awesome rip-offs and copys other nations made
Well, the 1903 Springfield is a shameless copy of the Mauser Gewehr 98, the TT-33 was basically a Browing design clone. I'm sure there are many more I didn't mention.

Then quit saying Yankee or Yank, its an offensive slang term for Americans.
I was trying to explain something to Riller, sheesh...

Kriss USA bought the Sphinx design license? Or are they just the importer?
[editline]11th March 2014[/editline]
Also, the sphinx is super neat. One of the best pistols out there, accuracy and reliability-wise. Far as I remember, it's basically a CZ-75 design optimized and perfectly fitted for practical sport shooting.
Also, it's used by the Danish Jægerkorps. Aw yis.

Just the importer. Yes, basically a CZ-75, but it reminds me of the CZ P-07/09. I'd be curious how it stacks up against some of CZ's higher end offerings, if it is truly worth the $1,300.
I watched the video and heard Hickok say "Very popular in Europe", and then rightly assumed you'd be first to comment on it :V
Truthfully, I posted it because I was curious what your opinion would be having never heard of the Sphinx before.
[editline]11th March 2014[/editline]
Apparently, Kriss and Sphinx both have the same parent company, they're just being imported through Kriss.

Fuchs Fine Guns Double free-floating barrel rifle in .416 Rigby, 400,000 euros, or about $532,000.

From what I've heard, it's P210+ quality of fit and finish. Rock solid build and insane accuracy, even the cheaper SDP beats out the already good and nicely accurate CZ-75 by 25% tighter groupings, with the 3000 line being even better. And it looks sexy.

Crazy sexy. That smooth, no-nonsense full-length slide-in-frame design makes the base of my spine tingle. The trigger is weird, but cool looking.

New grips. Again. The other ones were too shoddy.
Gawd, these were a pain in the ass to install. Had to wail on the rivet in the center with a screw-driver and mallet to push out the retaining clips so they could actually latch onto the frame. Damn.
Totally worth it, though.

Very muchly. The way the grip goes up the back of the frame makes it look actually nice, instead of cheap and dumb like TTs often do to me.
[editline]11th March 2014[/editline]
Speaking of TTs...

:v:
im currently modeling a pump action shotty but can't find any detailed pics of the ejection port's inner workings. can you dudes lend a hand?
What they are doing in Pakistan is beyond bad ass.. I mean we used to have Blacksmiths forging swords and arrows n shit.
In Pakistan they forge fucking guns.. for combat, its crazy!
Take it the Pakistani one is a Khyber Pass copy?
It's pretty fascinating how good they are.

Mechanically, yeah. I wouldn't fire anything at all from them, though.
The Khyber Pass AK is a myth, by the way. I've seen absolutely no sources with any backing stating that AKs are actually hand-made there. What is true is that they get a lot of parts from broken AKs, and they fix them up in quite interesting configurations that don't otherwise exist; such as an AKM with a AKS74 folding stock and flash hider.

Kyber Pass Copy AK doesn't mean that it is hand made, though.
A Khyber Pass Kalashnikov-style rifle usually refers to such a rifle composed of a mishmash of parts from various AK rifles. It is thus unlike any rifle produced by a factory or issued by a regular military force. The typical example of a "Khyber Pass AK" is a stamped receiver AKM in 7.62x39 caliber, fitted with the triangular folding stock common to Russian AKS-74 rifles.
Pretty sure I saw a Vice documentary that showed the hand-making stuff.
so basically the m-4 of the AKs
Not technically a Khyber Pass AK, but a clever DIY shovel AK.

It's probably been posted here before, but it is cool none the less

I know, that's what I meant to say. Everyone just says "Oh yeah tribals in Pakistan make AKs by hand and you have to go to a shop to buy a sandwich? You're an idiot!"
That's not true. Pakistanis make AKs from parts like receivers, barrels and stocks, just like I make sandwiches from parts like lettuce, bacon and chicken. And bread. And a little bit of mayo just to keep it moist, but not give off it's taste. And some thick, light curry dressing. And tomatoes.
