what is "almost every other rotary"? i was under the impression that miniguns were the majority of rotaries.
Most rotaries are aircraft cannons, M61 Vulcan 20mm, GAU-8 30mm, T249 37mm (AA gun but still), Gau 19 12.7mm, G Sh 6 23 23mm, G Sh 6 30 30mm, ect. Miniguns in low caliber rounds like 7.62 NATO and 5.56 NATO are actually a minority.
Did somebody say Springfield 1873 Trapdoor Carbine [t]http://www.uberti.com/firearms/images/springfield_trapdoor_carbine_lg.jpg[/t] Well I just did [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/60/Springfield_Trapdoor_breech_open.JPG[/t]

Technically, the 5.56 "minigun" is called the "microgun" :/ Miniguns, microguns, M61 Vulcans and GAU-8 30mm Gatling Guns are all based off of Dr. Richard Gatling's original design. Notably, so is the Yak B 12.7x108 gatling gun mounted in the Mi-24 Hind http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yak-B_12.7mm_machine_gun The Russian rotary barrel cannons are based on a different action and are also not electrically, pneumatically, or hydraulically fired. GSh rotary series are fired on the first shot by way of a pyrotechnic cocking charge (gas operated gun), of which there are 10; this means that you are limited to 10 bursts. Also, these guns tend to run about 10,000rpm as opposed to the Gatling design running about 4000-6000rpm on average.

i never understood why shortshorts are part of their military uniform
they're comfy, non restricting, easy to move in, and they keep you cool. Only downside is you look like a pansy but I'll take that risk if I'm fighting in jungles.
Grazed knees and insect bites
I'll take malaria over heat stroke, but thats just me.
Short shorts are actually very comfortable when outside for long durations of time, and I am sure they also have combat pants of some sort for the colder season and to wear at night.
Hi! I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.
i never understood why shortshorts are part of their military uniform
It proves that if they're willing to wear short shorts, they're manly men
i never understood why shortshorts are part of their military uniform
because short shorts have less fabric to weigh you down after walking through a vessel of water
I heard you like obscure weaponry. I'd like to present one of the most rare M16 variants known to exist. The Colt Model 605 with all the similarities of a standard M16 A1 but with a much slightly smaller length for compactness. The rifle had two variants one being the 605-A which had a standard three-way fire-select and the 605-B which had a four-way fire-select allowing for a burst function. This rifle was issued in extremely limited numbers to vehicle crews and in some cases, early S.E.A.L teams during the Vietnam conflict. More rifles would have been produced, however short-stroke and and jamming issues plagued the rifle due to the lack of a modified gasport to which the designers gave little thought to. The rifles were initially produced with no forward assists, however, in later models there is evidence of the addition of a forward assist, but with all the components filled and machined off leaving the rifles with a raised 'hump' where the forward assist would usually be.
Bit of a late reply, but just what would a four-position selector on an AR-15 look like? Was it something more in the style of MP5 selectors, or was it just a normal AR selector with one of the stops ground off and another option placed on the bottom?
Can anybody identify this AR?
Looks like one of those Carbon 15 things [editline]e[/editline] at least a bit, anyway
it looks like a 416 upper
Gonna have to disagree with both of you on this one, the forward assist resembles a Noveske N4, the handguard looks similar to the ones on Mk12 Mod 0 SPRs, and the barrel is too short for either of the two.
my 870 mmmmmmm [t]http://i.imgur.com/9fdGwsG.jpg[/t]

I think it looks decent, save for the bent up sewer grate attached to it.
I don't like that trigger, It looks like you could fit two fingers on it. Just looks strange.

can we talk about how cool looking crossbows are, in videogames and real life [t]http://files.g4tv.com/ImageDb3/284518_S/Rage-Weapons-Guide-.png[/t] [t]http://fourriverscharter.org/projects/Inventions/images/europe_crossbow2.jpg[/t] [t]http://uncrate.com/p/2011/04/medieval-crossbow-xl.jpg[/t] [t]http://blog.thecrossbowstore.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/acient-crossbow-awa-15.jpg[/t] hell even overly tacticool crossbows have a little bit of charm to them [t]http://www.likecool.com/Gear/Military/PSE%20TAC%2015%20Crossbow/PSE-TAC-15-Crossbow.jpg[/t] [t]http://www.crossbownation.com/forum/uploads/98ff30f3a9be4060d2cc67d3f87778a3.jpg[/t]
i cant stand most camos on bows and crossbows
I can't stand AKs that have a wooden forward pistol grip [t]http://www.deactivated-guns.co.uk/images/Ak%20111/IMG_0009_1.jpg[/t] Shit looks like the gun has an erection
Thats why it's called the donkey dick but it's literally the best foregrip you can get on an AK, it's fantastically comfy and it controls recoil way better than a standard grip.
