The un-stucking stick. In case the Ivans get stuck in a pool of mud, the tanks carry a high-tech device known as a 'crudely cut wooden log', which can be pushed under the tracks and driven over for more grip in shitty terrain. Beautiful in it's simplicity, adorable in the fact that it's a wooden beam strapped to the ass of a tank. It's most commonly seen on Russian and Ukranian tanks, where export-nations like Iraq or the Balkans have lost their logs to time.
(From top to bottom,, T-90, -80, -72, -62 pictured. Present on -64, -55 and -54 too, but couldn't find good pictures. Some other vehicles sometimes carry one too.)

I don't think Aaron Beck has done anything for the game, at least I don't recall him ever mentioning it or being credited, it just seems like whoever did the stuff for the game was highly "inspired" by his stuff.
I could be wrong though.
