For a second I thought it shot pistol rounds and that stand was a really long magazine :v:
Colt SMG, a 9mm AR15.
That's actually what it is.
Even AK's can come with intergrated display stands. They're the height of tacticool.
I love how the flashlight obscures the back up irons, but it needs more foregrips to be taken seriously.
Well, no it doesn't. If you flip the sights up, they cowitness lower-third with the aimpoint and see above the flashlight. The AFG up front is for thumb-over-bore shooting (Hence why the front BUIS is a little way behind the flashlight instead of right up against it) and the rear grip is for a tighter, quicker to swing around grip. Space in between is for a flat palmed traditional rifle grip. It's there for a reason, all of it. [editline]5th April 2014[/editline] Flashlight above bore because if you put it below or on side, the shadow of the barrel and flash hider will partially obscure the illuminated sight picture. The SSNR is a collection of perfectly sound ideas, bunched together in a ridiculously overly tactical package.
Although the whole tactical AR-15 hype in the US is somewhat.. laughable (see tactical armtape by Chris Costa for example).. I can't help to feel slightly jelous, it's like really expensive Lego.. that shoots bullets.

That's one of them Brazilian 5.56 rifles built on a FAL receiver or something. Sides, FAL might be stronk, but G3 stronker. [editline]5th April 2014[/editline] Before anyone argues, the G3 was the basis for two LMGs, two GPMGs, a HMG, several assault rifles, several carbines in both 5.56 and 7.62 NATO, the most successful SMG design to date and it's super compact cousin, several levels of marksman rifles ranging from just mounting a scope and on to a freefloated piece of art so accurate it's the first thing that pops in many people's mind when you say 'sniper rifle'.

But G3 mauls brass - and hasn't got a bolt hold open :( I love the G3, modelling one right now - but I wish they'd addressed those two before building a bunch of (good but pricey) derivatives off it.

It mauls brass because if you got a G3, you don't need to reload your ammunition, everything you'd ever want dead will be long gone before you have to worry about ammo costs.

I agree....but in the [del] atomic wastes [/del], my country of residence, every bullet or casing is precious. Still a massive fan of the G3, don't get me wrong. If I could, I'd get a full length version in a heartbeat, even if it was only 6mm caseless cal.
Personally, my favourite G3 look is the green slim furniture. Then again, I'm kinda biased. [editline]5th April 2014[/editline]
A fake can on a wood stocked airsoft G3? lol what the fuck
That G3 looks quite real, judging from the wide variety of mags, none of them with a winding wheel. Can't see what purpose a can that size would serve on a 7.62 NATO, though.
The mag in the middle has a winding wheel, it's airsoft. Also evidenced by the fact there's a battery sitting right next to the stock. And putting surplus wood furniture on airsoft G3s isn't an uncommon thing.

Also, with airsoft, can makes a ton of sense, since more barrel = more velocity. I'm more confused about the scope, haven't ever seen any airsoft able to reach out and touch anything at any range where even a 4x wouldn't be super excessive. Unless the scope is just a hollowed out tube holding a red dot or something, I am puzzled.
There are some people who go absolutely nuts with optics in airsoft and have super long range scopes and spend lots of money on real steel optics, but when you're dealing with small plastic pellets that a stiff breeze can send miles off course, then scopes always seemed kind of redundant to me. I have an airsoft M14 that can get pretty decent range, but it's still nothing that i'd ever want a high-zoom scope for. I sometimes use a 4x20 carry handle scope on my airsoft ARs, but just for spotting other players with or looking at stuff.

The reciever is made out of metal and there is only one manufacturer that makes metal receiver G3's which is Classic Army, and their receivers are made out of pot metal which looks VASTLY different to treated steel. So that G3 is most probably the real deal. [editline]5th April 2014[/editline] OR MAYBE I'M WRONG LIKE USUAL AND I JUST SPOTTED THE FUCKING BATTERY. SHOWS WHAT I KNOW, HUH.

No reason to aim at all.
and their receivers are made out of pot metal which looks VASTLY different to treated steel.
I dunno, i have a classic army G3 right here and the way the light shines on the metal seems to be the same to me. I'll bet it even has the horrible 'SAR SPORTMACH M41' markings on the other side. Believe it or not though, there are people who do aim, and who do use more realistic capacity magazines (aka, 70/80/100 instead of 500) but it's not as common as you'd hope.

I'd be moderately interested in trying it out again (Played some when I was the wee'est of lads), but the way there's no reason to ever use semi auto or reload your gun just makes me sad. I know there's AEGs with simulated recoil and there's 30 round magazines out there (Though they tend to be more expensive than 200 rounders), but that'd be handicapping myself and not anyone else, making it just kind of a shitty idea to do.
