It's like elementary school science class where you hook up a light bulb to the potato and it lights up because of the small electrical charge it generates but instead it's used to detonate C4.
you actually hooked a light bulb to a potato in your school?
Was found in ukraine during one of the riots:
Reminds me of when I was in Prauge zoo, and they had posted pictures of an apple looking like that that some fucks had tossed in for the animals to eat...
It's like elementary school science class where you hook up a light bulb to the potato and it lights up because of the small electrical charge it generates but instead it's used to detonate C4.
Is this actually what it was used for? I can't imagine someone thinking of much more than "Why not stick spikes in something and throw that? Oh look, that potato would be perfect!"
I think last time it came up we agreed it was a tube fed shotgun adapted to use a drum magazine as an extension
Yeah that's right, the most logical idea we had was that there's a tube mag behind the drum that goes up to the ejection port, this still doesn't explain how it's able to cycle with so little room behind said port though, although I personally think a rotary action makes the most sense. And none of that explains how on earth you chamber a round. Although on this model it looks like a charging handle of sorts has been added above the magazine.
you actually hooked a light bulb to a potato in your school?
I did it for a science fair project, using lemon juice and coins. It wound up not really working right, so my dad shoved an AA battery in side the potato, stacked coins on top of it, and it lit the bulb :v:
If they'd actually up-sized a PPSH-41 to 12Ga, the ejection port would be on top:
ppsh, the shut the fuck up gun
ppsh, the shut the fuck up gun
It's effectively a single barreled minigun that fires a very cheap round that is very powerful, so yes, it's a "Shut the fuck up, i'm writing my name on this guy's chest with it" gun.
And none of that explains how on earth you chamber a round. Although on this model it looks like a charging handle of sorts has been added above the magazine.
In game it has a cocking handle on the left hand side, that runs from about the front sight post to the mouth of the ejection port. Not that, that really explains anything though.
It's effectively a single barreled minigun that fires a very cheap round that is very powerful, so yes, it's a "Shut the fuck up, i'm writing my name on this guy's chest with it" gun.
Its also deliciously simple, reliable and easy to manufacture. And they attached some really early night vision optics to them for maximum win.
[thumb]http://www.theammosource.com/images/Alfa851Blued.jpg[/thumb] Sooooooo tempted to buy this. It's $419.95CDN new with free shipping and 10% off. I'd be DAMNED if I can find a cheaper Revolver for sale ANYWHERE in Canada. It's an Alfa Project/Holek .38SPL with a 4.5" barrel, model 851, blued. http://www.theammosource.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_3_600&products_id=3440
i like it
Why aren't the barrel-ribs cut all the way through?
Why aren't the barrel-ribs cut all the way through?
Honestly, I have absolutely no idea.
They got half way and just changed their minds

S&W Model 29 for comparison:
quite honestly, it looks like SHIT.
If you're talking about that Alfa project thing then yeah I agree, it looks really cheaply made dont you dare talk shit about the model 29 though, punk
the project alfa yeah and the mod 29 is a horribly outdated gun that is useless for anything besides collecting and occasional shooting at the range
Still more useful than the 1911. [editline]9th May 2014[/editline] I feel it's time to post a few weapons in the category that I like to call 'not quite' guns... [t]http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b155/rgmaund/PSL/IMG_1795.jpg[/t] Not quite an SVD. [t]http://www.gunslot.com/files/gunslot/images/82336.jpg[/t] Not quite a FAMAS. Not quite an AKM. [t]http://i.imgur.com/zu3X0XU.png[/t] Quite your needs, if your needs are not quite an AUG. Not-quites differ from clones and variants in that they do not actually share design, only looks.
Not quite a SCAR Not quite a G36 Not quite an ACR or Tavor Not quite an AUG/L85 (Yes same as the last one Riller posted, just not the tacticool version so you can see the dual resemblance imo)
[t]http://www.wists.com/thumbnails/6/2d/62df5e63b4928790bd2fa4ed70df2c22-orig[/t] seems like this is more cool guns thread instead of cool weapons thread so i think its time we have some more wastefully expensive cutting edge shit so anyways the soviet polyot, the satellite killer, ment to ram, de-orbit, smash, and generally not play nice with U.S. spy satellites [editline]9th May 2014[/editline] [t]http://spacerockethistory.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/polyot1.jpg[/t] the soviets developed this for multiple decades even launching several of them only to permanently shelve the project

Our gov orginally decided they want a gun for urban combat. But the problem is: Always get fucking dirty from dirt/dust Shit in both jungle/urban (the only types of terrain in this country) But, the pros are that its easy to strip Oh, and they decided to add in extra weight by adding a laser to the gun: [img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/83/SAR_21_Rifle.jpg[/img_thumb]

Airsoft, sure, but it shows the style of handguard/heat shield.
See isn't this better looking than having a big clumsy magwell that doesn't match the mag?
See isn't this better than having a big clumsy magwell that doesn't match the mag?
Not really, since the whole idea of using an AR-15 lower is that you're using an AR-15 lower and as such, can convert it to 5.56, .300 blackout, .50 beowulf, .22 lr, 6.5 Grendel, 5.45, .50 BMG or crossbow bolts in less than a minute. [editline]11th May 2014[/editline] I do love the melon label, though. Totes remember back when that was cool.

Also, for dedicated pistol lowers, I prefer the Glock mag ones.

[t]http://www.forgottenweapons.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/1_Walther-VP_right.jpg[/t] "volkspistole" Frankly I like it even though it's a weapon made as a last ditch effort in the waning days of WW2. I feel like it would be easy to take a prop version and mock it up to look like some kind of retro laser-gun.
The Mauser version has a sci-fi look as well.
