more crazy guns who looked at an 1911 and said "yep lets make it fire darts"
more crazy guns who looked at an 1911 and said "yep lets make it fire darts"
A 'bigot'. Narf narf. Greade launching attachments for handguns before it was cool. Trust the US. Nice to see they've still go that american caseless prototype mock-up in their offices. Still crossing my fingers they'll manage to 'aquire' one of the evaluation g11's and do a video on that.
Yeah, the ones you see on suppressors like that guy's R93 are heftier than the simple band on the barrels, because suppressors heat up faster than barrels do, and have a larger surface. The mirage-distortion given off by one of those could turn your aim straight to shit when you magnify it between 12 and 20 times.
These new OSS suppressors attempt to combat that: "1. Mirage- A naturally occurring optical phenomenon when light rays are bent and make a displaced image. Cold air is more dense than warm air, which has a greater refractive index. When light passes with cold air across the top of a suppressor, the light bends away from the source of heat. Traditional suppressors are generally a 1.5″ tube. As we all know heat rises, that being said the top of the tube is the highest point on the suppressor. You are getting heat from the barrel and your suppressor, which is always going to be warmer than the actual air surrounding it. The issue here is that happens to be the centerline of aim for whatever optic you are using, whether it is a red dot or a powered scope with any reticle. I like to call this,” false mirage”, coming from a long gun background as many of you, we use mirage at distance in order to determine winds. Either way, this “false mirage” causes issues when acquiring your target and is extremely emphasized at distance when you are dealing with actual mirage, parallax etc. The 5/8″ flat surface spreads the heat over a greater surface area creating mirage at the two edges of the octagon, out of your centerline of aim thus allowing you to maintain accuracy while firing." looks like a fake 1911 with a beavertail and extended/threaded barrel

Holy baffles batman
Holy baffles batman
Soon as I saw that I thought: "Maximum baffling" - in the crytek nanosuit voice.
Holy baffles batman
A baffling amount one might say? :V
looks like a fake 1911 with a beavertail and extended/threaded barrel
Nah, it's fake, but it looks more like a smith and wesson like a "4000" series, maybe a 4506? Not every pistol is a 1911, desert eagle or a glock ya know.
Not every pistol is a 1911, desert eagle or a glock ya know.
Uhm, yes it is? There literally are no other handguns in the world.
Keymod handguards are the shit.
it looks so fucking stupid tho MMMM YEAH LETS STRAP SOME METAL SHELVING TO THE FRONT OF MY GUN who even does that
What am I looking at here?
Looks like a suppressor. Also fuck keymod hand guards, they look so damn dumb, and cheap. But end up being hundreds of dollars for no reason
What am I looking at here?
Are you baffled? Its a disassembled suppressor and then a CG cutaway of it.
Looks like a suppressor. Also fuck keymod hand guards, they look so damn dumb, and cheap. But end up being hundreds of dollars for no reason
Hey, go machine me an aluminum handguard thats better if you think you can do it cheaper. Oh, you want to be paid for your time, design and materials used? Keymod handguards are great, not only from a standpoint of modularity and accessory mounting, but also ergonomics. Now you dont have to grip a cheesegrater rail or buy rail covers that add to the girth of your handguard, you can just grip the slim handguard. Also aids in weight reduction and cooling. As soon as I saw it, I sad "here we go, another AR/weapon accessory craze", but it is a practical evolution. more OSS guns because why not [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/00/Welrod_silenced_pistol_AF_museum.jpg/800px-Welrod_silenced_pistol_AF_museum.jpg[/t] the welrod, so secret and silent, nobody knows exactly how many were made because nobody put manufacturing marks on it and the manufacturers were all spread out. last confirmed use was in the desert storm, quite a long history if its to be believed, but again its history is as silent as its operation. its the last wisper in spy weaponry [editline]12th May 2014[/editline] [t]http://www.guns.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/welrod-museum.jpg[/t]
I love me a Welrod.

Also, 21st century Welrod by Brugger & Thomet: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2014/03/24/bt-vp-9-21st-century-welrod/
Uhhh, no, it definitely wasn't; the CIA and KGB made loads of silent or suppressed weapons for clandestine use.
Last whisper as in it's the last one that's still some secrecy about in where it's from and in not being marked and such. By the way, that B&T one is pretty hot. Have a hush-puppy. [t]http://www.guns.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/hushpuppy_in_seal_museum.jpeg[/t] Essentially an S&W 39 with a big ole can, a stock, and a lever to lock the slide so you don't get the cycling noise, making the 9mm pistol essentially completely silent.

QSPR "silent" revolver (it was really the ammo in conjunction with the gun that made it silent). Mhmm 9mm. That reminds me:

Man, I'd love the FAL a lot more than I already do, if it ever got beyond just being a battle rifle. Just look at the G3 living out it's full potential as everything from PDW to GPMG and precision rifle; meanwhile the FAL is like.. "Ech, I guess I can be an assault rifle or a support weapon, if you really want me to..."

I meant real variants, not civie mods. Also, those pistol-pictures are horizontally compressed to make it look shorter :v: Look at the mag's width.
