Looks interesting. Like a poor man's PSG-1.
I meant real variants, not civie mods. Also, those pistol-pictures are horizontally compressed to make it look shorter :v: Look at the mag's width.
Except for the last one, they are all factory variants.
The pistol has an 8" barrel and that OSW has an 11" barrel.

DSA definitely markets these as police/military rifles:

Less compressed:

Factory variants doesn't mean that they're a true FAL version. No one ever adopted the FAL as an SMG or as a proper marksman rifle. It was always just a battle rifle and nothing else beyond that. G3 is everything, lemme just cook up a morphology-tree...

W/E, thought you meant they didn't make other versions; adopting the other versions is totally different.
Why would they adopt the FAL anyways with the SCAR 17 available?

Because it wasn't in the 60's.
Also, G3 morphology chart.

Thumbed for big. I decided to limit myself to major variations, so I excluded experimentals and prototypes, spec-ops variants, all but one international variant, the marksman-G3A3, MP5 caliber variants, trigger group variants, civilian variants, pistol gimmicks and so forth. Only picked the majorly different ones, y'know.

Oh, before you bitch and moan that the MSG-90 is later than the PSG-1 and so forth, it's a morphology chart, not evolution chart. The closer to the original G3 you are, the higher on the chart you go. I guess I did fuck up putting the 5K above 5K-PDW, though.
the Nagant revolver is so quiet when used with a suppressor. I mean, there's not a lot of action going on in a revolver save for the hammer and turret.

Nagant revolver reload with Sleight of Hand Pro perk.
I'm still fairly sure the fastest way to reload that thing is to have a second cylinder on standby, and then just disassemble the weapon and swap them out.
im fairly sure the fastest way to reload that thing is to chuck it at the enemy and grab a fresh one
Anyone else enjoy the look of an AK with a GP-25 on it?

GP-25's are useful.
But I really love the simplistic beauty of AK's with maybe just a good optic at the most in the way of accessories.

Some type of Turkish HK-417 wannabe.
Not gon' lie, that magwell-grip looks comfy as fuck.

same with that pistol grip as well imo
Wouldn't be a bad looking rifle if you ditched the goofy carry handle

I'm guessing because the spring the bolt rides on is a big motherfucker and pulling it by hand wasn't considered practical

They have the semi auto setting (gas system) turned off to save the brass because its not made anymore and they hand reload it.

That is the Ohio Ordnance HCAR (Heavy Combat Assault Rifle) and it is a lightened (12lbs vs the original B.A.R.s 19lbs), closed bolt, semi-auto B.A.R. They claim it does 1 MOA out past 600yds.
It has a selector switch, bolt hold open and mag release similar to an AR, and take the original 20rd mags and their new 30rd mags. It has an adjustable gas system and uses a hydraulic buffer (not in the AR buffer tube) to absorb recoil.
That ribbed sleeve on the suppressor is actually a very effective heat shield that allows the user to remove the suppressor when hot.
I handled one of these at SHOT Show, and needless to say, I was impressed. Price point at $3-3.5K

I might be wrong, but isn't 1 MOA at five feet and 1 MOA at a thousand yards the exact same thing, since MOA is a measure of how much it deviates per distance traveled, not the size of a grouping at any one distance.

Yes and no, 1 MOA at 100yds is 1" while 1 MOA at 600yds is 6"; this gun is sub MOA at 100yds, but shoots MOA at 600+, but it is a measure of deviation.

1 MOA = about 1 inch at 100 yards. So 1 MOA at 600 yards would be about a 6 inch spread, and 1 MOA at 5 feet would be about 0.00167 inches if my math is correct.

Something like that.
A Minute of Angle (MOA) is an angular measurement.
A MOA is 1/60th of a degree.
1 MOA spreads about 1" per 100 yards. (actually 1.047")
1 MOA is a different size at different distances, 8" at 800 yards is still just 1 MOA.

But 1 MOA is 1 MOA, so specifying what range it shoots one MOA at is kinda silly, no?
But 1 MOA is 1 MOA, so specifying what range it shoots one MOA at is kinda silly, no?
No, because if your weapon shoots MOA at 600yds, that means its shooting sub MOA at any range under that, which means you have a very accurate weapon.
Most group measuring is done at 100yds to determine accuracy.
But 1 MOA is 1 MOA, so specifying what range it shoots one MOA at is kinda silly, no?
No, a round's spin becomes more unstable as they slow down, so while something might be 1 MOA at 50 yards, at 500 it could tumbling and better measured in degrees than MOA.
