Ahh, had no idea but I think my point still stands. If you're building a gun to enter into a modern weapon competition and you're giving it AR styled ergonomics, it seems rather wasteful to not make it ambidextrous.

Its an ultra modernized Artillery Luger with some kind of Laser Aiming Module under the barrel and a suppressor.
Anyone have pictures of the 'Doom Whomper' from a while back?
It's a 4.7 type Japanese antiaircraft gun converted to fire as a rifle. It shoots something around 1 inch wide, 2 1/2 inch long bullets and it could kill several elephants lined up in a row.

German engineering with British worksmanship and class gets you this; the Lanchester Mk. 1* SMG. Straight-up clone of the MP18, but way cooler looking, way heavier, and with a badass 50-round magazine and a bayonet lug.
The colours of the metal parts make it look steampunk as fuck.

One barrel, surrounded by ventilated barrel shroud. Also, thinking about it, most early-20th century British weapons are pretty classy (Save for the Sten. Sten is scrubgun.)
