Between this talk of Steampunk weapons and that new video on Killing Floor 2 I was reminded of these

That hand-mortar totally looks like a whale, the carving makes it.

That's a gas operated revolver iirc. The front end captures some of the blast and directs it through the copper tube to turn the cylinder.
I was wrong, it's a gas-eject system. Found the original thread on it. Neat idea really, if you want, you could fire all 6 then reload without an unloading process, effectively halving reload times.

Well it's called the "Orca Bomber", so that's sorta intentional.

There's a bit more to it than that, see that tube sticking out the back? That's a magazine, it feeds rounds into the emptied chambers.

Here's a video demonstrating, forgive the poor quality.

Yea, I know how it works, I just posted it as an example of something that looks steampunk and works as opposed to being a gun with a "steampunk facade".

The SP musket is cool except that it shoots lasers.
The SP musket is cool except that it shoots lasers.
I don't think it's supposed to be lasers, I thought the point of the Steampunk guns was that they were using blasts of steam to propel their shots. Hence why most of them appear to have compressed gas canisters, tubes, pressure gauges, or some combination of the three.
Also, doesn't shoving a giant metal gear right into the center of your stock kind of defeat the purpose of upholstering it?

*rocket artillery not missile trucks, and they only really caught on with russia/soviet union forces because they are damn cheap to produce for the shock they do, the west moved away from such dumb weapons to more precise strike weapons because of the massive amount of spread on those

The steam shotgun is the only one that looks like it could possibly be steam powered.

It sure does feel like steam powered in-game, at least in firepower.
How did you leave out the En Bloc clip?

Magazines!
Dennis Rodman interview? Shit, I'll have to read that, that guy is nuts!
Yesterday I went to two local gun stores. One of them had that ugly ass Mossberg bullpup space shotgun we all know and hate for like $500 (sadly, it was sold. I did, however, set up a sweet deal for an Enfield Mk. II!! That goes ni the collection with my Nagant and Garand.) They also had two Neos pistols (a long and a shorter one) and a nice reddish wood AK.
As you could've guessed, the shotgun was INCREDIBLY back heavy and unbalanced. Wasn't comfortable at all.
CLIPS!

So wait, how does this work? I see a clip and a magazine. How long is the clip, does it go all the way down there? And.. which way do the rounds move?
It is all so very confusing.

The bolt-carrier has a stripper clip guide, so you can load an inserted magazine via stripper clips like you do the internal magazine of any other gun. Same for the CanadaFAL.

I see.. Is it any good?

By all reports, yeah, VZ-58 is better than AK in every measurable way. It's a neat little feature to have, too.
Don't forget to lock up your guns...

Truth be told, I kinda hate the look of those things, I always thought jungle style was a much cooler looking method of dual magazinery. They don't bulge out the sides until some distance down, and it looks much cooler to flip them around when reloading.
