I'd love to see people playing Chinese whispers with gun designs Start with an AK and end up with some fucked up monstrosity of a rifle
So start with an AK, end with an AK.
So start with an AK, end with an AK.
I knew somebody would say that :v:
I knew somebody would say that :v:
I'll stop dissing the AK when the AK stops using two hundred year old sights.

know what else has 200 year old sights and still works really well? [t]http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100429025428/battlefield/images/9/97/Rpg7a6dm.jpg[/t]

[editline]8th July 2014[/editline] (Also, the non-optical sights of the RPG-7 are rather awful, since they don't give any info on the funky-ass crosswind aiming it features)

[t]http://www.camping-field-guide.com/images/military-camping-shovel.jpg[/t] Aww yeah

[t]http://www.camping-field-guide.com/images/military-camping-shovel.jpg[/t] Aww yeah
How about this this weapon, evolved over thousands of years of beatin' shit up: Your hand quadruples in density when you clench your fist. And you should un-learn what I said about the human face evolving if you read it. If there's a game where I can use fists effectively, I will. Skyrim with the heavy armour perk, TF2 with Heavy's fists, it's just radical.

I should also mention that the male human face is designed to take punches; this weapon is so devistating that humanity has evolved around it. Mainly because if a caveman had a broken jaw then eating would be near impossible and he'd die. Survival of the fittest. If there's a game where I can use fists effectively, I will.
I should also mention that the male human face is designed to take punches; this weapon is so devistating that humanity has evolved around it.
Man, this is awesome information. Someone should name a video game studio and discussion forum in honour of it.

I still think the SPAS-12 is the sexiest thing ever [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/47/SPAS_12_Fixed_Stock_and_Folding_Stock.JPG[/t] Short-barreled version is cute too:

I do some weird stuff with gun models.
How do you do that? Seems pretty fun.
Basically I take a model from a game (typically I grab custom models for source games off of Gamebanana, but I've also taken stuff from FO:NV mods and some UE games) Decompile/rip it if necessary Then I fiddle around with it in model editing software, mostly Milkshape because it's simple to use, but sometimes 3DS Max because Milkshape isn't actually very good and tends to either have limits, or outright mess stuff up, but regardless of software that basically amounts to loading up the models, taking the parts I want, deleting the parts I don't, making them fit together, rigging them up, and saving/exporting the results. Once I get it put together the way I like I compile it for source using GuistudioMDL Depending on how it looks I may go back and make more changes Then I take a picture, show it to a few friends, and usually never speak of it again. Except for that time I hacked some L85a2 furniture onto an HK-416 [t]http://files.gamebanana.com/img/ss/srends/5115dc0f13f21.jpg[/t] That I did release and you can download for CS:GO here.[/shamelessselfpromotion]
It doesn't have a barrel and this bothers me massively. The cooling-holes are in line with the barrel, but the handguard is empty :v:
ive been playing through HL's expansions, this seems to be the only gun that i have that ever has ammo
Oh man, the Spas. Can switch from pump to semi-auto, and looks like a hulk of a shotgun. A few years ago when I was startin' to mess about with pixel art, a pixel art of the Spas-12 was the first thing I put any effort in to. [t]http://i.imgur.com/LwBXmn0.png[/t] Gotta love that gun.

I'll have to check that when I get back on my main computer. Thanks for pointing that out, I'm actually currently doing something else using that L85 model so now I'll be sure to fix the barrel on it. Here, as an apology, have something that definitely has barrels [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/53757408/BAG-60.PNG[/t] A friend of mine wanted me to build an "M60 minigun" in the style of the Terror 4000 from Blood Dragon [t]http://www.imfdb.org/images/0/09/BloodDragon-Minigun-1.jpg[/t] Which essentially just amounted to taking a GPMG and strapping a multi-barrel on it. Also, come to think of it, that "L16a2" model probably won't work in CS:GO anymore since it predates whatever update it was that added the idiotic weapon paintjobs.
Not cool, or ugly but dumb Nevermind, turns out it's actually a grenade launcher, and not a rocket

I like that a lot. There are some pretty neat little .22 pistols out there, I'm quite a fan of the Ruger MKII. [t]http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HXya0JTz-_Y/TnzMOJGqS5I/AAAAAAAAAII/fyHbO6mSWaI/s1600/P_RUGER_MKII_1.JPG[/t] I just love the cocking handle.

I like it!
I want to see that fire more than anything
It looks like a still frame from a video, so you might be in luck
