Could someone explain the advantage/disadvantage of having the m16-style charging handle compared to the one that is in that configuration?

An Israeli successor to the lmg version of the Johnson known as the Type 2 Dror LMG, I think it looks pretty cool.

And then there's this one thing from when Mosberg decided to quit making good shotgun designs.

When I saw this thing in The Purge I was like "Why? Why would someone put that on his shotgun to PROTECT HIMSELF?"

I personally prefer the good ol' Huot, however many times it's posted.

And its non-automatic pops, the Ross rifle.

Hey hey hey now, don't think I thought the Ross was the sexiest.
That belongs to the Enfield, mostly because of that one single shot 'riot' shotgun conversion from India that forgottenweapons did a video on.
Just came across this on my internet travels

Also, that reminds me, I know some people like converting those Polish PPS-43c pistols to SBRs, but could it also be possible to either replace the barrel, or permanently affix a muzzle device so you just get a normal, unrestricted long gun?

This video explores the stories surrounding the Ross rifle's apparent ability to kill it's user.
Kind of a shame that straight-pull bolt rifles never really caught on. How hard is it to find Ross rifles in the 'States anyway? They seem like a pretty interesting piece.
Oh and the guys at Forgotten Weapons said their plan is to salvage what's left of that Mk.3 Ross and build a semi-auto Huot out of it.

No, you see, a mag bulge on a gun is a lot like a crotch bulge on a man

Best straight pull
No, you see, a mag bulge on a gun is a lot like a crotch bulge on a man
So every time you pull the trigger, you're basically tickling the gun's taint? That's a nice mental image.

Whether or not the barrel length is ridiculous to the rest of you, I couldn't care, because I honestly cannot wait for the recoil dissipation (?) system on that to be perfected and become commonplace.

I hate those designs so bad. Mainly because they're HK.
Do you not remember the flamewar that occurred here at the hands of Trunk Munkay and his angst against inaccuracy (while referring to that pic)? Do you really want to start up another bloody war? This is all on your head, kaine!

We're all doomed.
In other news, I honestly think this thread should be renamed to "Firearms: Please wait for Riller's M1897 masterpost, and we don't talk about G11s anymore"
Well you can have that call when we need a new one made, if you post fast enough.

I'm not really sure why, but I love the way the M4a1 looked in Homefront.

I don't talk about the 1897 much, that's usually others that I add to with footnotes.

Going back to those straight-pull bolt actions, here is an experimental one from 1860 called the "Thomas Wilson P1860 Experimental Rifle". There are only 5 known existing examples of this rifle in the world.

I think FO1&2 had better laser pistol and rifle models, since they had a really cool, retro sci-fi design to them. I will never forgive the design of the plasma rifle/caster though. It looks like a claw strapped onto a box lmao
