Because Russian gun purity or whatever. I also don't really like the look of it, at least not when compared to a normal SVD, but my life doesn't depend on how well it works so my opinion isn't really relevant.

Well, all of those are probably worth more than $200 in raw materials so I think it's safe to say you could get more for any of them. Gun buyback programs are only meant to appeal to idiots who hyperventilate at the sight of a firearm. But you could possibly recoup some losses by offloading a broken gun in one.
