I think the point that he was making was that it's a modern reproduction that, in the US at least, you get get pretty much anywhere for relatively low prices. Not too much historical value to it.

later stormtroopers came from both conscription and cloning of newer willing templates, instead of the age old jango fett base
the 501st were the only stormtroopers to still have fett-based clones in other words
