If I wasn't lazy, I'd go look for that airspeed-check anecdote story with the Cessna pilot genuinely wanting to know how fast he was going over control radio, then some F-18 pilot calls for his airspeed check just to one-up him, followed by a SR-71 doing the same to shit on the F-18 pilot's dumb fratboy ass.

Looks to me like the jet's going supersonic, which is causing the water droplets on and around the plane to condense as the shockwave brushes over it.
