I gotta agree the U-100 is rad, managed to carry it once, and its so much more comfy than that fucking SAR21

And SAR21 was difficult as fuck to clean, and jam so damn easily.

Then again, the ones we had was used for over 10 years for god knows how many Basic Training. They basically cleaned up the rifle and use it for the next batch, and on and on.

It might be larger, but you can move the longsword around way faster than a claymore. Finesse, speed and accuracy is the difference between you being stabbed, and your opponent being stabbed.

Gotta give it to you though. Claymores are cool.

In a one on one fight between skilled lightly-armored swordsman, you're correct.

But in an all-out medieval conflict/war...well The Hound said it best:

There isn't that much of a difference in length between your average claymore and average longsword, a claymore is essentially just a Scottish style longsword.

The length of both a longsword and the claymore isn't that different. Also depends on where the longsword would originate from. Since there were different designs for a longsword.
