Oh, you remember the scenes from WWI with heroic bayonet-charges and hand-to-hand combat? Ever wonder why that glory-period of warfare is over? Well, for the Scots, it ain't.

2009. Basra. Twenty men of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders regiment gets ambushed by a hundred Iraqi insurgents. The Scots quickly run out of ammo, but does that deter them from proving just how crazy awesome and totally deserving of independence from their English oppressors they are? As the dust fell, only three of them were wounded, while 35 insurgents lay dead; 20 of which from the tip of the bayonets. A pair of long clouds crossed the sky diagonally, forming a white X on the blue heavens above, as the birds tweeted Scotland the Brave. Or at least, as much of it as the 140 character limit allows.
