Okay? I'm all for Scots becoming independent. Being welsh and all.

Well, he's got a point.
On that topic, here's this gem off of /k/. I forget if it's been posted before but it's relevant.

On an unrelated note, here's a Barrett XM109. It shoots 25mm grenades.

The L85A2 is a good weapon. Yes the A1 was a big back of bollocks, but the LOLSA80SHITE is just as bollocks now.
Well he posted a picture of the L85A1, and we can all agree on that being bad.
If he'd posted a picture of the A2 then things would be different.
The A2 is better than the A1, yes.
It is also still an L85. Early A2s weren't exactly incredible compared to the A1. Newest A2s I can't speak of as I never fired them, but I can tell you that in my time, I would have much preferred the SLR to either version.
The only issue it's got now is the inability to fire from the left shoulder. And the weight if you're a weak baby.

It's an A2. There's a brass deflector/forward assist.
I could've sworn the charging handle was round but i guess i didn't look hard enough.
Where exactly is the forward assist on the A2? I've neved heard of that feature on the L85 before besides just smacking the charging handle.

It's a charging handle/brass deflector/forward assist all in one. You're correct, you just karate chop the back of the handle.
OWell they decided to build some revolvers in the same caliber

I look forward to this being the handcannon-type gun in video games
To forward assist an A2 you use kung-fu karate chopping action on the back of the cocking handle. Otherwise the interlocking splines don't go together and the thing doesn't fire.

Didn't Hickock compare that against the KSG and it flopped? :s
Didn't Hickock compare that against the KSG and it flopped? :s
It's basically a much heavier and bulkier KSG.

And what is probably the deal-breaker for the UTS-15 for me: It ain't ambidextrous. Because of the side ejection port which is always on the right side, if I tried to use it as a lefty, I'd be getting hot brass right in the mouth.
UTS-15 has a cool design though

In Arma 3 it's called the zubr and it has a wood grip.

That's a Chiappa Rhino. Nowhere near the same thing.

Yea that's what I said. Chiappa Rhino. Right.
I think I'll just stop posting here.
In Arma 3 it's called the zubr and it has a wood grip.
As mentioned, it's a Rhino, and it's the absolute worst pistol in the game. Got the moderately powerful .45, sure, but so does the god damn AAF basic pistol, and the [del]American[/del] NATO special pistol, which both got a better magazine, better rate of fire, and mounts a suppressor. Fuck the Rhino in ARMA III. It's the least useful addition to the game ever. At least the signal pistol has tactical use, even if it can't kill shit.
ARMA3's rhino has terrible accuracy. The iron sights are useless on it. Wanna know what video game revolver is actually good though?
The MP-412 REX, from BF3/BFBC2

I got so good with this gun, I ended up getting multiple headshots in a row in that night fight map (BF3, can't remember the specifics to it, but it had a construction site and it was night time. That map was so pretty.)
Revolvers in BF3 were just beautiful weapons to use, they did a really good job of making you feel the power of the shots you were firing.

Although personally I preferred the .44
I've become a big fan of the Scout Rifles in Destiny. The magazine area looked kinda wonky at first but the whole design has really grown on me.

I really dig the P90 grip in addition to a normal foregrip. Gives the operator options.
I prefer to Jigoku to the Trax look, but really i'll take whatever has the highest attack damage.

I look forward to when video games can accurately portray the damage done by the weapon. :v:
So many shooting games completely lack the effects like RDR, MP3, or even FEAR1 level of dismemberment.
