L4D2 has best dismemberment in video games.
L4D2 has best dismemberment in video games.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas, on the other hand, had the worst. Punch a guy's arm so hard it severs cleanly like it was cut off with a sword, so realistic.

Can't top the FEAR 1 shotgun blood explosion.

Each year, approximately 4,500 students apply to enter the one and only high school run by JGSDF, and only 300 are accepted. The boys-only school was opened in 1955 and caters to students between 15 and 19 years old across three grades. 90% of graduates continue on to careers in the JGSDF. Japan's self-defense stance was changed in July 2014, with the reinterpretation of the country's war-renouncing constitution to allow the Self-Defense Forces (SDF) to exercise the right to collective self-defense, enabling the SDF to engage in military actions for countries who have close relationships with Japan. [t]http://i.imgur.com/B7n3x.jpg[/t] I always liked Hyperion shotguns [t]http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121126043651/borderlands/ru/images/0/0d/Maliwan.jpg[/t] Maliwans look awful but that color palette is damn good.
On an unrelated note, here's a Barrett XM109. It shoots 25mm grenades. [t]http://www.firearmsworld.net/usa/barrett/payload/pl03.jpg[/t]
why
why
To make things explode
Why not?
why
It's an anti-materiel rifle. It's meant to shoot equipment, not dudes.
L4D2 has best dismemberment in video games.
Soldier of Fortune 2 is pretty good, too
why
Because it's an anti-materiel rifle

Bonus points to them for the excessively snobby and elitist in-game "advertisements" for the guns. [t]http://media-titanium.cursecdn.com/attachments/43/646/torgue_ar.png[/t] Torgue has a really great design too. All of their weapons are basically hotrod rocket guns with awesome color schemes and designs.
It's an anti-materiel rifle. It's meant to shoot equipment, not dudes.
I feel it could do both just the same but not efficiently
i need one
Only with slug shells
This recent talk of anti-materiel rifles reminded me of... The pilum. The original anti-materiel weapon. Comes in two varieties, heavy and light; it's kind of an advanced, very purpose-built javelin. Very small and pointy tip, followed by a long, soft iron shank. The purpose? Armour penetration. Shield penetration, to be precise. The soft iron shaft is long enough to allow the tip to hit the chest of a man through his shield. And if that didn't happen, guess what? The soft iron shaft made damn sure the spear would bend, making it impossible to throw back. Even better, if it's embedded in a shield and bent, it's pretty damn hard to get out, and very heavy, meaning you're pretty much forced to just toss your shield aside and fight without it. Against friggin' legionaries. Good luck, ya dirty Gaul. Most sources say each legionary would carry two of these, either two of the same kind or one of each. Historians disagree whether or not it was solely used as a thrown javelin, or if it was also used as a fighting spear. While the soft shaft would make it pretty crap as a melee weapon, it more likely than not does beat being killed to shit by Libyan horsemen because your dinky little gladius couldn't stab a horse proper-like. But yeah. Pila are pretty damn brilliantly thought out, and were in use in various cultures under various names right up until fuckin' 15th century.
My brother is studying to be a historian, so everytime he see them being used as spears he go into a fit of rage.
My brother is studying to be a historian, so everytime he see them being used as spears he go into a fit of rage.
Doing the same. Some ancient sources do state them being used as thrusting weapons against cavalry, but watching Gladiator, for example, where the SchutzStaff- I mean Praetorian Guard uses them as regular infantry spears is just hilarious. [editline]22nd September 2014[/editline] It's not even like the Romans didn't have spears; they had several types. Infantry spears; more conventional javelins and cavalry lances of various kinds. The Pilum is so clearly not a thrusting weapon just by looking at it...
I have the thought that if you tried to thrust it into someone it would bend and break, like its supposed to when you throw it.
Wtf is this
