Is it just me or does the position of his right fingers look very painful?
i think he's just surveying the area using the scope.
also considering the way the headrest is adjusted it looks fine to me, he's just holding the gun a different way

Gotta give 'em credit. They sure know how to paint a black hawk.

Wouldn't sky blue camo make more sense for a helicopter?
Wouldn't sky blue camo make more sense for a helicopter?
Not if your'e attempting to stay in a combat zone for an extended period of time. If you have to land for a while a bright blue blob would provide a nice and distinct target to shoot at.

Only effective on gunships that are going to orbit the area.
Even then, we now live in an era where you don't need to actually see your target to kill it.
Hello guys.

Dayum, that Desert Eagle sure packs a punch!
Wouldn't sky blue camo make more sense for a helicopter?
the camo is more for hiding when it's landed and not running. If it really wanted to hide when it's flying it would need to be light pink, not blue.
notice how the sky camo is on the belly of the vehicle as well.
BEEEAAAARRRRR... But seriously. Russians have made shuttles or something that looks like them.

- Edit Landing gear as you see isn't in this image. I can only assume its close.
thats the buran shuttle, russia's answer to the space-shuttle gap, it was used once, then the U.S.S.R. collapsed
[editline]19th May 2013[/editline]
Yeah but they have no clue how to actually land the shuttles once they're done dicking around in space. Event he most recent landing of crew from the ISS was just a crude crash landing in Kazakhstan.
the soyuz is far from crude, its probably the most evolved space system in existence. variations of it have flown for close to 50 years, everybody from nasa to soviet engineers, to the European space agency has helped in its evolution. the explosion seen when it lands are rockets that fire the second it hits the ground to make a soft landing. its one of the most reliable space transport vehicle systems in existence, not crude in the least sense

The way it lands might be high tech but it's still a soft-landing in the middle of the wilderness any way you look at it.
The way it lands might be high tech but it's still a soft-landing in the middle of the wilderness any way you look at it.
is landing in the middle of the ocean any different?
The way it lands might be high tech but it's still a soft-landing in the middle of the wilderness any way you look at it.
If It ain't broke don't fix it. Like he said, the Soyuz hold a remarkable reliability record. No astronaut has died since 1971 when the re entry capsule decompressed in high atmosphere.
Even now, The latest model (first launched in 1973) has a 2.8% failure rate. With over 700 launches.
I'm not saying that we shouldn't build bigger and better, but for the moment it's the best we have (The Soyuz did have a very shaky start, lots of accidents, some very nearly fatal) as NASA just doesn't have the investment from government to have its own manned launch platform.
And lets not forget, as great an idea as the space shuttle was, It ended up failing to be the cheaper alternative to single use rockets and 15 astronauts have died as a result of poor engineering decisions (the ceramic wings not tested for a high velocity impact with the insulation foam and the O ring incident).
thats the buran shuttle, russia's answer to the space-shuttle gap, it was used once, then the U.S.S.R. collapsed
So, What your saying is it has landing gear?
is landing in the middle of the ocean any different?
No but launching a shuttle into space and landing the same shuttle onto a runway sure as shit is.
