Which is good, ballistically everything that isn't glorious, godly 10mm AUTO or 7.62 NATO sould just go away.
FTFY.
Is it just me or is that just the pistol grip flipped and tacked on to the handguard
It is, was actually a fairly common technique in the early days of vertical fore grips. Memory serving the AR-18 did the same thing.
Enlighten me, I'm not very knowledgeable on certain kinds of rounds. What's bad about .40S&W?
more like .40 SHORT&WEAK
The caliber war is super stupid because the only reason arguments are had, is because 10mm Auto enjoys watching inferiors fight. It could snuff them just as easily as it created them.

Seriously. Round designed for FBI, which turned out to be too powerful for the FBI, and for the guns it was fired from. Those modified 1911's straight-up snapped in half. Almost.
Except that it's stupidly expensive and rare. And is still "just" a handgun round. If i'm going to pay premium prices for ammo, it's going to be on a rifle's ammo.
A 550 ct. box of Federal Ammunition copper plated 36 grain .22LR costs $23.97 at Walmart. So yes.
Well then, here's a PPSh 41.

Because this thread is clearly infested with commies!

Which reminds me, the PPSh was deployed in the way I like to imagine someone should totally start doing it again; where you carry a high-cap mag in the weapon, and all your spares are standard capacity; so you got that extra load of dakka for the opening engagement where it's the most important. Why don't anyone do this any more?
Okay, I know why. The more patrrol-based nature of modern warfare makes the extra weight and bulk a 45-rounder or a 60-round coffin would add not nearly worth the bit of extra initial firepower when you get ambushed. But still! It's a good idea!
Also soldiers are deployed with mid-powered rifles instead of SMGs. Firing fully automatic is only used in emergencies for the average soldier so high cap mags aren't all that necessary. There's no need to spray 5.56 unless you're the support gunner
No, but it means you can do the tap-tap-tap for twice as long before you have to stop. As I said, I know the downsides by far outweigh the perks in modern situations, but at least it'd be rad.

I also think we should employ the use of dual barrel rifles for the exact same reason.
Imagine an army that relied only on their gear looking cool, regardless of practicality. :v:

German military around 1940. Discarded the superior SMG in trials for being too ugly. Too ugly compared to the MP40, mind you.
Some people carry subcompact pistols in the opposite fashion, keep a short mag in it for the initial tap, extended ones in reserve in case you need extra firepower. Sort of makes sense since it's easier to conceal and draw with the smaller magazine, but then if you're in a situation where you need more, you have a lot more.

well tbh it would be less expensive and easier to find if it was actually popular, but alas

Around the same price as .45 ACP, and those are the full power loads. Locally might be more expensive and rarer than usual, but online it's common and fairly cheap.

I got to meet someone who was issued one of these and was required to keep it in his car every day he went to work. Sadly it got traded out for some AR variant when they decided 10mm was too expensive/powerful :(
So you think you can put a price on freedom, justice and the American way?
if its breaking people's hands then its clearly not powerful enough and should be retired
I do like the appearance of some of Salient Arms' custom guns.

It just stays a little more true to the original design, Salient makes so many cuts the slide is a much different shape.
That stippling, though.
I understand it might make for a better gripping surface, but it just looks so bad. Not even on those guns in specific, stippling just looks generally horrible.
The stippling should be smaller than the hand/gun contact surfaces if you ask me.
