I kind of would've preferred having a bolt catch. The Yugo style followers (assuming they even work in this gun, hickok didn't empty the mag so I haven't seen it work yet) don't offer the reload speed/ease benefits of being able to just tap a release, and I've heard of some problems specific to those mags. But I guess that's the price to pay for AK magazine compatibility.
