I would guess they tried to make it kind of like a muzzle break/compensator where the extra gases are directed outwards. But there's a good reason why those are muzzle devices that go on the END of the barrel.
No, it's called porting, and done professionally, it works just fine. Here it is on an AG-42B Ljungman:
Try hitting something from 1.5 km range with it though. It's more of a DMR.
Ayup. for some reason I dig DMRs more than actual sniper rifles :v:
:pwn:
I'm not saying MD was entirely accurate but when it came to accuracy and the guns looking right MW got the right balance of ridiculous and anal. Not everyone has the patience for a super-realistic game like ARMA.
Except for the fact that you have to be a clockmaker to fix the damn thing, and the "gas system" is a bunch of extra bullshit. The mateba is literally the definition of fixing what isn't broken. On top of that it weighs almost 3 pounds. That's pretty heavy for a handgun, even a revolver.
i mean, a smith & wesson model 29 .44 magnum weighs 2.6lbs so... just googling 44 magnum revolvers, they all weigh anywhere from 2-3 lbs so mateba is actually pretty average, the gas system isn't really complicated, its just like any other semi-auto pistol where it has a recoil operated slide, except it slides back and rotates the cylinder instead of extracting and loading
The mateba is also chambered in .357 magnum. Most of the .357's don't weigh as much as the mateba. It's not a bad revolver, but it certainly isn't the "best" by any means.

The following are variants of the Mateba revolver:[3][4][5][6] Defense - 4" Barrel, .357 Magnum Home Protection - 5" Barrel, .44 Remington Magnum Dynamic Sportiva - Either 5" or 6" barrel, .357 Magnum Hunter - 8 3/8" Barrel, .357 Magnum (.38 Special) and .44 Remington Magnum (.44 S&W Special) In addition, their barrels can be changed with interchangeable 3", 4", 5", 6", 7" and 8" inch barrels.
from wikipedia they made it in several variants, i wasn't saying its the best, but its not clunky heavy and useless, it may be a little impractical since there's not really much added benefit to being able to fire a revolver that much faster
Except for the fact that you have to be a clockmaker to fix the damn thing, and the "gas system" is a bunch of extra bullshit. But seriously, I think a Mateba refined for easier maintenance would be a genuine improvement over more contemporary designs, the centerline barrel seems like it would be a vast improvement, especially with larger caliber ammunition.
Modding in GTA 4 was horendus as it is, you could never add anything it always had to replace something, how it works out in V will be interesting
You you didn't, they found out how to add stuff to the game, same goes for San Andreas.
You you didn't, they found out how to add stuff to the game, same goes for San Andreas.
Is that something found out very recently, then? 'Cause last I tried modding GTA was only a few months ago and it was still a giant headache of replacement
You you didn't, they found out how to add stuff to the game, same goes for San Andreas.
idk if they finally found a way around that, i haven't messed around with that game for a good couple years now, but i know back when i did the game was still very difficult to even find the right files, and that was even with a proper file-viewer

The Model 1910 utilized a blow back operated semi automatic action, but was also coupled with a lever action mechanism as well. While being fed from a detachable magazine, the lever action was used to chamber the first round from whence it would fire as a semi automatic. Additionally, the semi automatic feature could be disabled making the rifle a lever action for use in states or provinces where use of semi automatics was banned for hunting. The Francotte Model 1910 was chambered in a 6mm cartridge little bigger than the .22 long rifle, and thus was marketed as a small game firearm. Few were produced.
Would any of you here know what the specific name is for this AR-15 receiver? It looks like the rear sight is built in but there's no carrying handle.

lefties need not apply
Maybe it's just the angle and the way the holes in it curve around, but that flash hider looks bent as fuck. And I'm glad i'm sort of ambidextrous when it comes to guns. I can't write for shit with my right hand but I can hold a gun just fine.
