It looks weird and I can probably never get used to it. Still quite interesting.
Any of you guys still fuck around with this one?

It's funny to build an AR with an 8 inch barrel.
it still doesn't have any 5.7 uppers, disappointed.
Some guy came up with a pretty awesome rifling system:

For those of you going "so what?" this means that almost all underground firearms that are forced to use smoothbore pipes or salvaged barrels, can now adopt rifled barrels that can be made in the same underground factories as other things.
that's some ugly rifling but I guess it's better than smoothbore. Keeps you legal when you're trying to do handguns too

While its not quite as crazy, the NTW-20 is equally badass and has a great video:

AK-102?
They've been around for a long time bud, they are just getting more sophisticated with the failure of prison systems to rehabilitate criminals.
Also funny thing I just mentioned that tool.... People in Brazil are already adopting it!

Your near obsession with home-made garage guns is kinda creepy
In my eyes you're all creepy. But then again I have a bad eye sight.
Your near obsession with home-made garage guns is kinda creepy
I have said it before, but I'll say it again: I love them because they are always unique and different. Guns differ from neighborhood to neighborhood. It's nothing short of artistic expression and interest in the technical know-how these underground gunsmiths go through to make them and the ammo for them has always been a past time interest.

Not to mention I also love how seafearers make harpoon systems with simply rubberbands and bamboo rods. It's always amazing watching them do deep-sea harpoon fishing with it.

it's no different than any other "home-made X" obsession

Hey now, I'm only creepy about G3s!

Except home made guns can be very dangerous and are probably very often made illegally. I agree with Magmacow358 on this one.

That barrel rifling tool greatly increases the amount of guns that can be home made legally though.
That barrel rifling tool greatly increases the amount of guns that can be home made legally though.
And at the same time it increases effectivity of illegal ones. Two sided coin, really.

a lot of home made gadgets can be equally dangerous while still being legal so the only issue i see here is arbitrary laws making things scary to uninformed people

Only other kinds of homemade weapons, really. But guns remain the easiest way for a user to end someones life. (Tradeoff being that it's not the easiest thing to make)

poison is easier to make, easier to kill someone with, and technically legal to own.

You are impossible :v:
But seriously, you know what I mean and this arguing is beyond reasonable now.

How do you feel about them replacing it with a HK417 clone
The Turks are replacing their G3s with that, not the Greeks.
The rifle in your picture kind of looks like the stock and lower reciever are all one solid peice. I know it'd be less useful as a fixed stock, but if you stretched the sliding stock to full length, fixed it in place, and fused it with the lower, I think that would look cool as fuck.
Whoops
Anyways have a video of it magdumping

Also, apparently, the stock sights suck.

So business as usual for AK rifles.
So business as usual for AK rifles.
Not only does the guy mention that they are worse than AKSU sights, the top covers are all misaligned so the front sights are pushed all the way to the left.

Hope you all have a good Christmas Eve!

Also some weird shit from Ukraine

That fucking engine stopper is so derpy it's amazing. Using a fucking shaped charge with what appears to be a .25 target practice pellet. It's like a mini APCR shell.
Speaking of AKs, Russia has decided to go forward in evaluating both the A-545(Upgraded AEK-971) and AK-12 after they both passed state trials.

But I don't think this means either one has been officially adopted as a service rifle yet. The AN-94 was technically accepted but rarely used.

homemade guns are fucking cool
I'm actually putting one together right now. A wonderful weapon when it's not been cut into pieces.
It's kinda terrible but in the most amazing way, really. Hard to describe.
And at the same time it increases effectivity of illegal ones. Two sided coin, really.
did you even see the quality of the rifling? It's enough to keep you legal but it'll never improve accuracy.

Looks like they copied H&K there. The Germans won't be happy.
