Come on, I've fired an S&W 500 3" barrel, which has way more perceived recoil than the long one, and even I'm not so wimpy I let go of the damn thing! I'm guessing this is the first time this person has fired a big revolver because he(?) doesn't have the Magnum Flinch™ that most people I've seen(including me) get from magnum revolvers.
I've recently had an urge to own a GSh-18

silence heretic
the one in the bottom photo looks just fine
but honest the GSh is a really cool gun
dat logo on the grip
dat rifle-stacked magazine
it was triggered, it is a berreta-kin, and someone triggered it by reminding it that it was trapped in the body of a GSh-18 trigger.
what's up with the trigger on the top one?
Looks like a custom trigger, kinda similar to a milspec AR-15 trigger. I want one, plus some of that 9x19 7n21 AP ammo, but that is never gonna happen.

i hope there was only 1 bullet loaded....
i hope there was only 1 bullet loaded....
Cause it would totally fire another bullet that way.

loaded gun is still a dangerous gun...

There was a woman who died shooting one of those just recently; the same thing happened, except she held onto the gun and shot herself in the head.

While that's a bummer, I was only talking about that particular gif. Just tumbling through the air uncocked is not going to fire a round.

All things considered it's probably best that they let go, if they held on through the flip we might've had a repeat of that incident.
Does anyone have or knows a combat footage video where both parts can be seen? I mean, it's always video of soldier firing over or around something. Never some direct stuff or urban combat where you can clearly see the opponent.
There was this Iraq video from UK forces that showed how they took down some talibans inside a house.

Neat. Y'all know I'm not a major fan of the bullpups, but fuck it, bullpup bolt actions are rad.

I think thats the Desert Tactical arms DTA, it's a bolt action bullpup rifle chambered in various high calibers, seems kinda pointless to me but he likes it.
seems kinda pointless to me
How is it pointless? Seems to me to be exactly as pointful as any R700 or other modern medium-high caliber bolt action, with the added upsides of being bullpup without any of the downsides since you ain't ever gonna need to lolspeedreload or left-shoulder or swing around or anything with it.

I can see one downside to the DTA compared to regular bolt action rifles. The bolt handle is quite far back compared to how it regularly is, making it less comfortable to operate the bolt. It's a minor downside, and the upsides outweights the downsides, but it is there.

Yeah this mostly, it's fairly awkward to use, i'm sure if i used it a lot it would feel a bit better but the few times I had i just wanted to go back to the standard configuration.

The probability of it somehow pulling the hammer back by itself and firing another round mid-air would be so ridiculously low you might as well worry about the person not wearing protection against meteorites.
Also I can't tell if the person in the gif is a feminine guy or a boyish girl :v:

It's entirely possible for the person to just pull the trigger. I saw a gif a while ago of some girl with a big revolver firing it without bracing against the recoil and then she fires it straight up when her hand catches up to the trigger as it flies back.
So I bumped into this while browsing around /k/

Sadly I have no source on it.

Knowing that my state is helping in the Maryland Lawsuit makes me very, very happy.
