Also, in other gun news: Apex gun parts has gotten their hands on some CETME Model L parts kits.

For those unfamiliar the Model L was a Spanish assault rifle developed from the original CETME Model A/B/C (the predecessors to the H&K G3 series), modernized up to become a sort of wannabe G41. They operate on pretty much all the mechanics you'd find in a G3 type rifle but with 0 part compatibility. Fires 5.56 NATO from STANAG magazines.
The kits are being sold sans receivers or barrels, hopefully the parts to build semi-autos out of these become available soon.

Here's a gladius reproduction. I like the grip. I have an antique history exam coming up in 20 minutes. My anus is really clean. You happy now, Tau!?
I love the gladius because either side of the blade curves inwards slightly, and the whole thing just looks so slick with its profile. Gettin' some slice on.

Well, the blade-curve is only to some patterns of it; others are straight, and if it has the curves, it's more of a chopper in the style of a machete than it is a slicer.
Meanwhile in Belgium:

I love that one guy with the FNC.

The Gladius was primarily meant for stabbin' the shit out of whoever was in front of you, though.
The relatively short length made it very agile, meaning it was easier to get around an opponents shield.

Cool little patent. Basically it's a mechanism for a bolt-action rifle of sorts that allows the user to cycle the bolt by having the user pull a trigger located on the trigger guard.
But half the fun of a bolt-action is operating the bolt... That just makes it boring.
There were some old pistols that had a cocking device built into the trigger guard, lifesizepotato did a video on a Lignose pocket pistol with one, but the [del]Danish[/del] Norwegian designer Krag developed a gas delayed service handgun with a more advanced incarnation of the design.
Rather interesting, while Krag's original design was dropped, Norinco of China ended up producing a copy of it in the 1990s (mostly, the controls and firing pin were changed up but the action and cocking lever are more or less the same).
But half the fun of a bolt-action is operating the bolt... That just makes it boring.
I imagine it would be handy for competition shooting, as you get the accuracy of a bolt gun without the aim disruption of moving your entire arm to cycle the bolt.
Krag's pistol also had an overly complex trigger designed to serve not only as a SA/DA trigger but also a slide release so that when the slide was locked open a user could single load a round with their secondary hand, then close and fire with their primary. Kind of nonsensical by modern standards, but it was over 100 years ago. When Norinco began their own production they replaced all of that with a simple striker firing mechanism.
lmao, get your shit right. krag was norwegian, not danish
Sorry, was up all night. I was just remembering that the Danes adopted his derpy little bolt gun.
