I always wondered, not being too gun savvy, is there a reason they designed it this way? It looks so awkward? Not that I don't love it, but still.
Its a competition gun, the bore axis is meant to be as low as possible.
I always wondered, not being too gun savvy, is there a reason they designed it this way? It looks so awkward? Not that I don't love it, but still.
It was designed for sport shorting, and was given a short barrel to prevent muzzle rise during rapid fire. The cylinder is also in front to give more weight to the front to keep the barrel steady during rapid fire. It also has a larger than normal barrel, holding up to 14 rounds of .22lr, or 8 rounds of .357. There was even a design that had 20 rounds of .22lr (still a revolver) but I don't know if it was actually produced or not. It's kind of the reverse of an auto revolver, instead of the long barrel thats located at the bottom cylinder, it's a short barrel located at the top cylinder with the cylinder infront of the trigger. Again, it was meant for sport shooting, not for anything else.
BAR, no what did they do to you I AM LITERALLY ON THE VERGE OF TEARS RIGHT NOW WHAT THE HELL DID THEY DO TO YOU
For the longest time I thought it was some ridiculous shotgun. Keep in mind I originally saw this when I was just getting into firearms and saw it in a thread full of butchered weapons (most were shotguns). Now that I know it's a bar I am quite sad. Anyone have any pretty pictures of WW1 weaponry?

Sons of Guns does some incredibly heinous shit that I honestly cannot stand to see. Like making.. whatever the fuck this thing is.. [editline]29th May 2013[/editline] ..or this poor 1919
COMING UP NEXT ON SONS OF GUNS [t]http://i.imgur.com/9JU2gAP.png[/t]
Replace the wood with aluminium and we're good to go.
Not every gun on the planet has to be made of 50 year old wood and have all original parts for their owners to enjoy them you know.
Not every gun on the planet has to be made of 50 year old wood and have all original parts for their owners to enjoy them you know.
Not every person has to go around and rape rare and historically significant firearms with picatiny rails and black paint you know.
Its all based on your own opinion and what you prefer, if you're telling someone "NO YOU CANT HAVE THAT IT LOOKS UGLY" you're kinda being an ass. [editline]29th May 2013[/editline] Opinions are like ass holes, everyone's got em and they're all full of shit
Not every gun on the planet has to be made of 50 year old wood and have all original parts for their owners to enjoy them you know.
It's pretty unecessary to try and modernize a BAR or a 1919. Enjoy your weapons all you want but you're fucking stupid for modifying them to look ugly.
Not every gun on the planet has to be made of 50 year old wood and have all original parts for their owners to enjoy them you know.
I'm all down for certain modernized or modern weapons. The thing about what Red Jacket seems to do to a lot of the firearms they 'modify' is just in incredibly poor taste - for example, the Saiga they 'accessorized' to be more 'marketed to women'. They do have a good side; apparently they took some of the guns on the Kidd and made them use gas to simulate firing for a July 4th show, which is pretty sweet.

The ZK-22 isn't that bad IMO. I went to the range about a week ago with my M1 [I'm thinking of buying an AK next because I actually like the looks of the AK as time goes on..] and some dude there had one. They're actually pretty comfortable.

For a moment I thought that was a Magpull PDR.
Not every gun on the planet has to be made of 50 year old wood and have all original parts for their owners to enjoy them you know.
Yeah, but there's more or less sensible stuff like the SA58 OSW - an updated FAL - and there's... whatever these Sons Of Guns guys are doing. The former's perfectly fine (even though I tend to prefer the original guns to updated ones, but that's a personal opinion), but the latter is straight up butchering guns, some of which lose historical value because of that.
i like it
What gun is it? It's sexy as hell in a spacegun way.
What gun is it? It's sexy as hell in a spacegun way.
it's a ZK-22
i'd special order one in 5.7 or 357sig
at that point you're probably just better off getting a carbine kit

Damn thing looks like it escaped from Halo!
That looks superfluous as hell.
well yeah thats the point. Most carbine kits don't have any barrel extension, it's purely to give your typical handgun the ergonomics of a carbine or SMG.
